Better Search Station search is fixed and more accurate — search by state, river, or place name and get the gauge you're looking for. Refreshed Station Data We rebuilt our station database from the latest NWS/USGS sources, adding new gauges and updating metadata across the country. The app is also noticeably smaller and quicker to install. Redesigned Journal Logging a trip or observation is cleaner now: a single focused entry screen, a new tap-to-rate star control, and visible tags so you can organize your notes your way. We also fixed a few rough edges, including an occasional "-0.00" reading and a bug that could overwrite a note after editing. Tap any widget to jump straight to full details. Extended 10-Day Outlook Toggle the chart between the official NWS forecast and an extended 10-day outlook when you're planning further ahead. Official data is always clearly labeled. Smarter Alerts Flood and Sweet Spot alerts now keep working when NWS hasn't issued an official forecast, falling back to extended outlook data so you stay informed during quiet weather. v1.1 — Sweet Spot Alerts, Flood Stage Lines & More The big one: Sweet Spot Alerts. Tell RiverTrax your ideal flow or gage height range, and we'll watch the NWS 5-day forecast and let you know when your window is coming. No more checking the app every day hoping conditions line up — we'll ping you when it's time to go. Flood stage lines are now drawn right on the charts. Major, Moderate, Minor, and Action thresholds show up as labeled lines so you can see at a glance where current and forecasted levels sit relative to what actually matters. Upstream and downstream navigation is here. From any station detail page you can now jump directly to the next gauge up or down the river — no more hunting through search to find a neighboring station. A few other things we cleaned up: · Alert configuration got a full redesign. Setting up a water level or flow alert is now clearer, and the new layout makes it easier to see what you've configured at a glance. · Foreground monitoring now works. Alerts fire even when the app is open — previously you'd only get notified when RiverTrax was running in the background. · Current conditions got some improvements — NWS weather warnings now show inline with station data, so you see active flood or weather alerts without leaving the station view. · Sharing is better.
