What's New in 2.0.2
This release focuses on stability, polish, and a few quality-of-life improvements on top of the 2.0 redesign.
New
• Auto-resume your last signed-in account on launch — no more re-picking the active account every time.
• Notification badge now appears in the sidebar so you can see unread activity at a glance.
UX fixes
• Navigation drawer and wide-layout sidebar are now scrollable on smaller screens.
• Server picker always returns you Home after switching servers.
• Profile editor no longer auto-saves unexpectedly while you're still typing.
• Fixed the language field in profile editing losing focus / state.
• Splash screen now waits for your preferences to load, eliminating a brief flash of the wrong theme.
Reliability
• Account switching and logout now properly reset providers and clear stale status.
• Failed token verification clears the bad token instead of getting stuck.
• Streaming connections clean up correctly when interrupted; badge refresh and reload loops are safer.
• Deleting posts and other interactions now surface errors instead of leaving the UI out of sync.
• More resilient to servers that omit optional fields or return a null token expiry.
Performance
• Smoother V2 shell — no more unnecessary rebuilds when navigating or searching.
• Debounced slider persistence reduces I/O while adjusting settings.
API
• Corrected Mastodon wire parameters for create/update list and a few other write endpoints.
Thanks for the feedback — keep it coming!
