Love the concept of using SourBoys (which is delicious and should be supported by everyone who loves independent businesses, and creative unique delicious sour candies that come in artsy packages so cool you'll be tempted to save the bags to hang them on your walls...) themes and flavors to craft the lore narrative and can tell a secrete story via findable pages, and i think the idea of having themed outfits this customizable holds a bunch of possibilities and I am looking forward to seeing how this games grows and changes as the bugs get worked out. However, given you collect coins all game, and currently you can only purchase two articles of clothing with coins, i would suggest you add items of a simplistic nature for coin purchase to the store daily as well, keeping the more elaborate artistic items to in-store micro transaction availability only. Reason i make that suggestion is because currently i have also tried every day to purchase the blue hate, autumn cape, any strap, any other cape, any bundle, etc. Sadly, with the exception of the wizard hat by itself, and the pink backpack, the store hasn't opened a link to let me buy anything else. Until that bug is fixed, your game is limiting itself needlessly. So until you fix that bug, that's my suggestion. Add outfit items daily for coins a am well. Thank you.

The art style and concept of the game is so cool. I love the mystical design and the rats little bun cheeks its so funny 😭. However there are some things that needa be fixed. So when I first downloaded the game the screen was black. Though, I could hear the music from the main menu. I closed out the game and reopened it and that did fix the issue. The game is also pretty laggy. Ik the other review said its a lot visually but i really just think thats due to lag. In my opinion the design itself isn’t too much. For the bridge there are two holes, one on the left and one on the right. Maybe this is a me problem lol but you cant roll under the openings. Then once you die and the coin screen pops up, sometimes the coins just say zero even though you did collect coins. Also if you press the screen to skip it counting up the coins it will also say you got zero coins.This game looks awesome just needs some tweaks since its new. Im excited to see the progress! I also love the little details like the goblin in the main menu creeping around haha

I love the silly ridiculous graphics that this game has. Zalk looks absolutely disgusting and vile which is very fitting for a candymaker.Besides that, the game has a very nice variation of powerups. The intangible sour boy, the green apple, the peach, theres some very good powerups there but there are two which seem pretty redundant. The bigger jump and double jump dont seem to add much to the gameplay because that the bigger jump powerup doesnt seem to increase the distance you jump but instead just the height that you jump, meaning it doesnt make clearing obstacles easier or anything like that it just makes you go higher. The double jump does the same thing and I havent found a use for it. Maybe if there were some hidden paths above the map you could use double jump to get to it’d be a cooler powerup.Besides that this game has no immediate glaring issues and its surprisingly polished. Trying to get #1 rank on the leaderboard hits like crack.

I’m only writing a review because I’m a huge fan of oompaville, and I want this game to improve. It runs fairly slowly and almost feels like there is input lag. There is a lot on the screen at once, and many obstacles are not obvious regarding how to avoid them (i.e bats, doors in the castle, maybe some other stuff). I have a quest for hitting targets and have no idea how to even do that. The leaderboard seems to not be accurate because my score isn’t displaying. I’m going to keep playing the game, but I hope it improves overtime because I’d rather play something like this than actual subway surfers. I’ll go buy some SourBoys to make up for the poor review.
