Raku Sudoku is now a native iPad app. The board was rebuilt for the larger canvas — it keeps a fixed proportion and stays centred instead of stretching, the keypad sits beside the grid in landscape so your hand never covers the puzzle, and the layout adapts continuously to any window size rather than jumping between a few fixed states. Everything else is unchanged. Still 16 MB. Still no ads, no subscriptions, no pay-to-win. One purchase unlocks all six difficulty levels, forever.

New: haptic feedback for a more tactile playing experience. Raku Sudoku is now free to download. Play one Easy puzzle per day, or unlock all difficulty levels with a one-time purchase. Already purchased the app? Everything stays unlocked – no action needed.

Our players in Japan asked for bigger numbers – so now everyone can choose. Set the number size (Small, Normal, Large) from the Menu anytime, even mid-game, and switch on Bold numbers for extra clarity. Pencil notes are now easier to read too. Happy solving!

Thanks to player feedback, we've added a new "Auto-fill notes" setting — start each puzzle with candidate notes pre-filled. Have ideas for what to improve next? Send them our way.

Bug fixes and stability improvements

Relaxed mode – a new setting that hides the timer for a calm, pressure-free experience. You can also tap the timer directly in the game to hide it. Find it in the Menu.

Raku Sudoku is now available in six languages – English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese and Korean.

• Game Center is now optional. You can now turn Game Center on or off in the menu. New players start with it off for a distraction-free experience. Existing players keep their setup — toggle it anytime under Settings. Your scores are always preserved.
