Ever looked at a menu and had no idea what a dish is? Snappy Menu reads any menu from one photo and shows you every dish: what it is, what’s in it and roughly what it looks like. Then, when you get home, it shows you how to make it.
How it works
Point your phone at the menu, or choose a photo. Snappy Menu reads every dish in seconds, in any language, and fills in a picture for each one as you watch.
For every dish
- Its name in your language, with the original alongside
- What it is and how it tastes, including spice
- Allergens and dietary tags such as vegan and gluten-free, with a reminder to check with staff
- How to say it, and a Show the waiter card for ordering
- Price, as printed
Loved it? Cook it
- A home version of the dish, written for a home kitchen in your language
- Ingredients in grams and cups, steps with timers and safety notes, and swaps for vegetarian, gluten-free or milder
- Cook mode: one big step at a time, with the screen kept on
- Kitchen timers: run several at once, see them on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, and hear them ring like an alarm even on silent

Pictures are illustrative: they show how each dish usually looks, not the restaurant’s own plate. Recipes are home versions inspired by the dish, not the restaurant’s recipe.
Free: one whole menu pictured a day, every dish on every menu always read and explained, one recipe a day and up to 10 dishes in your Food passport. Premium pictures every menu you scan and opens every recipe and an unlimited Food passport. Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in your account settings.
