Enable remote control on the simulator, share the 6‑digit pairing code, and connect from the Remote Controller screen. Instructors can drive rhythms, vitals, scenarios, and more while learners focus on the bedside panel. A clear “Remote controlled” indicator shows when a session is linked. On phone layouts, Remote is one tap away in the new top toolbar. SCENARIO AUDIO BRIEFINGS Tap Play on any scenario to hear a full spoken briefing: patient history, initial assessment, and starting vitals—ideal for megacode introductions and debrief prep. You control when audio plays; nothing starts automatically. MOBILE SIMULATOR, REDESIGNED Phone and tablet layouts now put Home, Remote, and Prefs at the top so navigation stays visible while you scroll through waveforms, vitals, and treatments. Preferences and remote settings are easier to reach during active scenarios. KEEP SCREEN ON New in Preferences: prevent the device from sleeping during simulation. QUIZ CENTER Test knowledge with dedicated quizzes for reversible causes, ECG interpretation, ACLS, and PALS—each with setup options suited to study or review. STANDALONE AED TRAINER Practice AED pad placement, rhythm recognition, and shock delivery in a focused AED workflow separate from the full monitor panel. REFINED LEGAL & ONBOARDING SCREENS User Agreement and Educational Disclaimer screens have been redesigned for clarity: section cards, scroll hints, and fixed action buttons so acceptance is straightforward on any device size. RELIABILITY & POLISH • Returning to the app mid-simulation no longer sends you back to the home screen • Remote status banner no longer covers the menu Back button on desktop panels • Clinical dark theme consistency across panels, quizzes, and modals • Improved OAuth and session handling when switching apps during sign-in FOR INSTRUCTORS Remote control, scenario briefing audio, and keep-awake settings make ActivSim 4.0 a stronger tool for classroom, lab, and simulation center use—whether the learner uses an iPad at the bedside and the instructor controls from a phone, or everyone runs on the same device. FOR LEARNERS Explore mode, timed megacodes, quizzes, and the AED trainer give you more ways to build confidence before clinical rotations or certification courses. What’s New in 3.0.0 Remote Control Remote control is now a Pro feature. Subscribe to discover and control simulators from another device on the same Wi‑Fi network. When your simulator is being controlled, a “Remote controlled” badge appears at the top of the screen. When you’re controlling a simulator from the Remote app, a badge shows the name of the device you’re controlling. Reliability No crashes when switching scenarios or when scenario data is missing or invalid. Smoother behavior when opening the capnograph and when changing stages in scenarios.
