## A countdown worth watching The last ten seconds before a gallery opens now build up to the moment. Every tick sends a ripple out across the cover, a little stronger each time, while the colour slowly drains away. At zero, the reveal breaks open in a shockwave with confetti in the colours of your cover photo. ## See who's joining When a guest joins, a swell of colour now flows out through the invite card's holographic pattern, starting from behind the QR code. The spots-filled line briefly turns into the join message, even while you're holding the code up for others to scan. The card also ripples when the QR code first appears. ## Something new is on the way We're working on a whole new way to start a Moment, and this update gets Revel ready for it. We can't say more just yet, so keep an eye out. ## Other fixes & improvements - Smoother navigation throughout the app, and the profile sheet now slides up - A clearer empty gallery screen that no longer flickers when it refreshes - Guests who joined from the App Clip now get a gentle nudge to create an account - Fixed the moment card shifting when returning from the gallery - Fixed the sign-in sheet sometimes not appearing while creating a moment - Added missing translations - Numerous stability improvements and polish

## A new way to invite your guests The share sheet has been rebuilt around one clear path. The invite card shows the QR code and the join link, which you can copy right there. A single "Send invite link" button shares it with a short message, so it no longer arrives as a bare URL. Below that, three quick steps show guests how the moment works: join, snap, then wait for the reveal. Hosts can see how many spots are left and get more when the moment is full. Tilt your phone and a holographic foil shimmers across the card. ## Put your moment on the big screen The slideshow page is now a live preview. A small TV shows your moment's cover and switches on when you enable the slideshow. Once it's on, you can copy, send or open the link, and follow two short steps to get it up on a screen. If the gallery hasn't opened yet, a note tells you that the slideshow will show photos before the reveal date. The share sheet also marks the slideshow as Live while it's running. ## Other fixes & improvements - Fixed the selfie viewfinder showing sideways on iPhone 17 and iPhone Air - Fixed the slideshow switch sometimes showing as off after you turned it on - Added missing translations - Numerous stability improvements and polish

## See the filter before you shoot When a moment has a photo filter, the viewfinder now shows it live, so what you frame is what the gallery will get. It's the same filter the gallery applies, running in real time. Your photos still upload untouched, and the filter is applied afterwards like before, so nothing changes about how they're stored. ## Try filters on yourself Picking a filter for a new moment no longer means guessing from a stock photo. Switch the filter picker to your front or back camera and swipe through filters on the live feed. Each swipe wipes the next look in across the picture. The reveal step's sample photos now use the filter you picked too, so the whole setup shows what the moment will look like. ## Add photos from your library while it's live Moments can now let guests add photos from their camera roll while the moment is still running, not just after it ends. Turn it on with the new toggle under "Photos per person" when creating or editing a moment. An upload button then appears in the camera, in "My photos" and in the gallery. Uploads made during the moment count toward the normal per-person limit. ## Other fixes & improvements - Fixed the camera sometimes starting up behind the "My photos" sheet - Added missing translations - Numerous stability improvements and polish

## Zoom that finally feels like the real camera Zooming no longer freezes the viewfinder when it crosses between lenses — the picture flows smoothly from 0.5x all the way out, with no hard cut in framing or exposure. Press and hold the zoom buttons (or drag sideways) and they unfold into a curved zoom dial you can sweep with one thumb, with haptic ticks and a gentle magnetic pull at every lens stop. Pinch works too, and the dial follows along. ## Shoot with the volume buttons Press either volume button to fire the shutter, just like the system camera. It captures the instant you press down, with the same haptics, flash and photo limits as the on-screen button — and the buttons go back to controlling volume as soon as the viewfinder isn't what's in front of you. ## Straight to the shutter from your Live Activity Tapping a moment's Live Activity now opens the viewfinder almost immediately instead of taking a few seconds to get there. The camera starts warming up the moment you tap. Once a moment has ended, that same tap takes you to its gallery instead. ## Watch friends join, live Hold up the share screen and each person who scans in now arrives with a banner, a bounce and a rolling count, so you can see the group fill up in real time instead of noticing the number later. ## Other fixes & improvements - Fixed photos being lost when the camera was closed right after tapping the shutter, or when the shutter was tapped twice in quick succession - Fixed sessions expiring early and leaving you stuck on "You are not authorized to view these photos" - Fixed an empty sheet and lost upgrades when raising the participant limit from a moment's edit screen, including edits being overwritten mid-typing - Fixed the blank photo filter sheet when filters failed to load - Fixed two App Clip crashes reported in 2.5.0, and the camera being left running behind other screens after a widget tap - Share screens for a brand-new moment now show its cover photo instead of a flat background - Added missing translations - Numerous stability improvements and polish

## Moments that update live Photos now appear as they're added — no need to pull to refresh. Both your moments list and open galleries stay in sync in real time, so you'll see new shots roll in the moment someone captures them. If your connection drops or the app goes to the background, it quietly reconnects and catches you up. ## Colorful countdown previews While a moment counts down to its reveal, you'll now see a soft, colorful mosaic of what's coming instead of a grey placeholder. Contributor names appear alongside the preview, and the mosaic loads instantly without the old skeleton flash. ## Faster, smoother galleries Galleries render more quickly and scroll more smoothly, with even spacing and a consistent layout from the countdown mosaic through to the revealed grid. Photos you capture now show up in the gallery right after they finish uploading. ## Other fixes & improvements - Fixed an App Clip crash that could occur when opening the camera - Fixed an App Clip issue that could drop photos or lock out guests during sign-in - Shared photos now carry a Revel.cam title - Added missing translations - Numerous stability improvements and polish

## Sharper photos, faster camera The camera now captures higher-quality photos and reacts the instant you tap the shutter — no more waiting for the shot to process before anything happens. Flash timing is smoother, and the camera no longer flips orientation while you're on the move. ## Covers that come to life Featured photos and gallery headers now dissolve in from a soft, colorful preview instead of popping in blank or flickering when a gallery opens. Cover photos share a consistent crop and a gentle blur across invites and galleries, so everything feels more cohesive. ## Other fixes & improvements - The App Clip now installs as "Revel" - Numerous stability improvements and polish
