Bad Habits is a privacy-first habit tracker that helps you understand your routines, celebrate your progress, and build healthier patterns without ever sharing your data. Everything you log stays on your device, and optional Google Drive sync ensures you control exactly when and how your information is backed up.
CONFIGURABLE
Bad Habits adapts to the way you think. Create as many custom categories ("Focus," "Reward," "Relax," or your own labels) as you need to explain why you indulge in your habit. Add unlimited custom fields of two types: text inputs for notes, locations, or moods, and yes/no toggles for binary data like "Completed" or "Skipped." Everything you see is yours to shape.
EASY-TO-ANALYZE
Turn raw logs into instant insights. Switch between weekly and monthly modes to see total event counts at a glance. See which categories dominate your habits, ranked by frequency.
EXPORT YOUR DATA
Your data belongs to you. Connect once to Google Drive and Bad Habits stores every entry to a Google Sheet. Manual backups and automatic syncs keep your local logs mirrored in the cloud. Trigger a push or disconnect at any time. There are no hidden formats, no opaque backups - just a plain spreadsheet you own.
PRIVATE & OPEN SOURCE
There are zero analytics, zero ads, and zero tracking. All entries, notes, categories, and custom fields stay on your device by default. Optional sync to Google Drive happens only with your explicit permission. The code is open source under the MIT license, so you can audit every line, contribute improvements, or self-host your own build. If you choose to delete your account, one tap wipes everything: entries, categories, custom columns, and backups, leaving no trace behind. Your habits are yours alone.
