New gauss units, ghost-hunt audio, and a calibrated magnetometer. Scan, zero the field, and find spikes without ads on Pro. Turn your iPhone into an EMF detector and gauss meter. EMF Detector reads the built-in magnetometer and shows live magnetic field in microtesla, milligauss, or Gauss — the same units a handheld meter uses. This app measures magnetic fields. It does not measure Wi‑Fi, 5G, or ionizing radiation. What you can do • Live EMF detector with peak hold and average • Switch units: µT, mG, Gauss • Zero / calibrate to ignore Earth’s field and hunt nearby sources • Ghost hunt mode: audio and haptics on magnetic spikes (used by investigators as a starting point, not a spirit detector) • Metal and stud finder: sweep a wall to find studs, pipes and wiring • XYZ charts and field direction compass • Session log with CSV and PDF export Ghost hunt & metal Walk slowly. Zero the meter, then sweep. Spikes mean a changing magnetic field — speakers, transformers, studs, or wiring. Audio maps spike strength so you can hunt without watching the screen. Pro removes ads and unlocks direction, full history, high-EMF alerts, and PDF export. I use this app to detect magnetic fields and it works just as effectively as commercials alternatives. Impressive tool

I was skeptical but it’s pretty great

It’s much better than the other 3 highly rated ones I’ve tried so it’s likely as good it gets for a phone app. The problem with each EMF app is hypersensitivity towards totally wrong things and so far the only clear weakness this one has is springs. As in mattress springs, chair springs, etc. Pretty weird but if it’s the only weakness then it still beats the competition. I’m just glad my mattress isn’t haunted, just has a ton of springs hehe. I was gonna spend a lot on some sus device from Amazon but this looks good enough to save me some moolah. Just hit the stop button every min or two cause the EMF value likes to creep up and stay with the bigger numbers. Oh and I like the lowest sensitivity setting but all of them work great. Fun app overall, enjoy!

Thank you for the detailed review! We're glad to hear the app performed better than the other EMF apps you've tried and helped you avoid buying additional hardware. The readings are based on your phone's built-in sensors, so certain metal objects like mattress or chair springs can sometimes influence the results. We appreciate your feedback about sensitivity settings and value drift, and we'll continue working on improving accuracy and the overall experience. Thanks for using the app!
