Will the sky light up tonight? A sunset forecast from the clouds, golden and blue hour to the minute, and eclipses, meteors and aurora for every place you shoot.
Arrebol (Spanish): the red glow of clouds lit by the rising or setting sun. Arrebol shows you the sky before you head out: when the light turns gold, and whether the clouds will catch it.
A LIVING SKY
• The sky on screen is rendered from the forecast: tonight's clouds, lit by the sun where it will be
• The sun's whole day as one curve. Drag the time ruler and watch the light change
• Golden hour and blue hour marked on the curve, with a countdown to the next one
WILL THE SKY LIGHT UP?
• A sky score for every golden hour, from high, mid and low cloud, rain and haze
• Plain reasons, like "high cloud to catch the colour" or "low cloud may block the sun"
• The next 24 hours of cloud and the next 10 days at a glance
EVERY PLACE, ONE SWIPE APART
• Your location first, then the spots you save. Swipe between them
• Swipe up for the whole day: blue and golden hour, sunrise, sunset, moonrise and moonset with directions, and the next 14 days
• Search cities, landmarks or coordinates, and see each place's local time
PLAN THE SHOT
• Sun & moon map: bearing lines from any vantage point and the day's sun path
• Sky path chart, and a camera view that draws the path over the real sky
• Add any window to your calendar
SKY EVENTS FOR EACH PLACE
• Solar and lunar eclipses to 2040, with coverage and contact times where you are, and directions to the path of totality
• Meteor showers with the rate you can expect on the peak night
• Live aurora outlook from NOAA space weather
ALWAYS AT HAND
• Alerts before golden or blue hour, optionally only when the sky looks good
• Live Activity countdown on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island
• Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, and an Apple Watch app
Accurate: sun and moon times are checked against the US Naval Observatory, and eclipses against NASA.
