I was looking for a replacement for TinyTask (windows app) on my Mac and found GhostInput which almost perfectly fits my needs. Just two glaring problem keeping it from 5 stars: there is no counter showing how many times the script has executed. So if I set it to run 5 times I have no way of telling if it’s on the first or 4th run. Devs, if you read reviews, please implement this feature - not sure how it was overlooked. The second issue is that the shortcuts to stop and start a script don’t get heard when I’m in my other app, so I have to wait for a break in movement to wrestle control back and click on GhostInput to stop it.Edit: so, it does appear there a little overlay window that either wasn’t showing before or just got added. Either way it has the counts I was asking for. :) But that said, I don’t want the overlay covering the screen I have automation happening on. Also, it doesn’t consistently show. More often, it doesn’t. Can we have options to drag it elsewhere, or give second monitor location options?
Crashes

App was working well for a few days, but now it crashes on launch. I don’t want to reinstall the app because I’m worried I’ll lose the recordings I’ve made. Tahoe 26.1 on MacBookPro18,3. Will edit my review if I get it working again.

• Redesigned editor: recordings now read as steps (typed text, shortcuts, clicks, drags, mouse paths and scrolls) with timing and filters. Expand any step to edit single events.
• New toolbar with clear Record and Play buttons.
• Undo for edits and deletions, and the Delete key works in the lists.
• Recordings are named automatically, and you can rename them right in the list.
• Playback countdown, so you can switch to the right window first.
• Built-in hotkeys: Control-Option-Command-R starts and stops recording, Control-Option-Command-period stops playback. Stop Playback is also in the menu bar.
