Version 1.6.0 now allows you to customize standard phrase presets by setting your preferred icons and colors, and to overlay the History and Standard Phrases windows. Clip Hold is not just a clipboard manager. It is a clipboard manager app with a lot of very useful features that were designed by me, a power user who has been using Mac for more than 10 years. - Quick Access to Standard Phrases and History from the Menu Frequently used standard phrases and copy history items can be accessed quickly from the menu. You can easily copy an item by simply clicking on it. - Standard Phrases Window and History Window You can list all standard phrases you have set and all saved history items. You can easily copy an item by simply double-clicking on it. - Standard Phrases Presets and Assign to Apps Feature Standard Phrases can be grouped into different presets, and the presets can be automatically switched depending on the app that is opened. Presets can also be switched using shortcut keys. - Rich Shortcut Keys Dedicated shortcut keys allow you to quickly copy up to 10 standard phrases and 10 copy history items. You can also open the standard phrases and history windows instantly. - Quickly Paste with Quick Paste With the “Quick Paste” feature, when you copy an item from the menu or use a shortcut key, the copied content is immediately pasted. You don't need to paste it yourself. - Import and Export Features Standard phrases and clipboard history can be imported and exported. You can share your favorite standard phrases with someone else, or import clipboard history from another Mac. - Copied Color Codes Can Be Shown By enabling it from the “Developer Features” settings, you can show the color icons based on the copied color codes in the history window and the menu. - Perfect Privacy Clip Hold does not collect any user-related information. While usage data and crash reports may be shared if users have enabled “Share with app developers” under “Analytics & Improvements” in the System Settings' “Privacy & Security” section, the app itself is entirely devoid of any functionality to collect or send user-related information. Even if you are concerned about privacy, you can use it with confidence. Below is an introduction of the privacy features included in the app. - Pause anytime you do not want it saved in the history You can pause clipboard monitoring when you do not want the copied contents to be saved in the history, such as when copying passwords or confidential information. While paused, the menu bar icon becomes translucent so you can see the current status at a glance. You will receive a notification when you start the app while it is paused, so you will never forget to resume clipboard monitoring. - You can exclude apps from clipboard monitoring If you do not want the history to be saved only in specific apps, no problem, you can add apps to exclude from clipboard monitoring. There is no need to pause clipboard monitoring. Clip Hold is also available for free download from GitHub. The only difference between the free version and the Mac App Store version is the availability of automatic updates (available only in the Mac App Store version), and there is no difference in the features of the app. If you would like to support the developer, I would be glad if you purchase it from the Mac App Store!

New Features - Add French (fr), German (de), Spanish (es) localization by generative AI → Since I have no knowledge of languages other than Japanese and English, translations may contain strange translations. If you notice any translations that need correction, I would appreciate it if you could send feedback on what to change and how! - Add the “Date and Time Display Format” option to the “Menu” section and “History Window” section in General Settings → Changes how the date is displayed when copied. You can choose from the following options. | - Absolute (Default) | → Example: 11/30/2025, 12:34PM | - Relative | → Example: 5 minutes ago | - Both: Absolute (Relative) | → Example: 11/30/2025, 12:34PM (5 minutes ago) | - Both: Absolute - Relative | → Example: 11/30/2025, 12:34PM - 5 minutes ago | - Both: Relative (Absolute) | → Example: 5 minutes ago (11/30/2025, 12:34PM) | - Both: Relative - Absolute | → Example: 5 minutes ago - 11/30/2025, 12:34PM Bug Fixes and Improvements - Fix issue where the “Resume” button did not appear in the notification panel sent when launching the app while clipboard monitoring was paused - Fix issue that preset name in the edit screen for default presets was not localized - Fix “Change History and Copy” to “Change Item and Copy” → The issue where the “Change History and Copy” was also displayed on the change and copy standard phrases screen has been fixed. - Fix issue where the History and Standard Phrases window could not be closed using the Escape key - Fix issue where the default preset icon was not generated - Improve app performance → Proper cache utilization and automatic cleanup of unnecessary data now help prevent performance degradation even when Clip Hold is running for long periods. - Improve shortcut keys for the change history and copy screen → Pressing ⌘ (Command) + S while the change history and copy screen is open now performs the copy action. - Improve the input field box highlighting on the change and copy screens for history and standard phrases, and on the add edit screen for standard phrases, when “Increase Contrast” is enabled in System Settings - Improve to send a notification when the shortcut key for standard phrases that are not set is pressed - Improve the clipboard monitoring indicator in the Privacy Settings when “Differentiate Without Color” is enabled in System Settings - Add a description regarding size calculation to the “Total Size of Saved Folder:” in Copy History Settings - Remove height restrictions on input fields in the history and standard phrases edit screens → When these screens are displayed as windows, increasing the window height now causes the input fields to expand accordingly.
