The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) was created to bring Nepalis living around the world together under one common banner. Over the last 18 years, NRNA has grown into a strong global network, with National Coordination Councils (NCCs) in 86 countries. While we may hold different passports or live far from home, our bond with Nepal never fades. We share in its victories and stand by it in tough times, because once you’re Nepali, that stays with you. Our motto, “For Nepali, by Nepali,” means we pool our energy, skills, and resources to support Nepal’s growth and well‑being. It’s every citizen’s duty to promote and protect their homeland. Recognizing the value of Nepalis abroad, the Government of Nepal passed the Non‑Resident Nepali Act 2064. Under this law, Nepali citizens living outside SAARC countries—and people of Nepali origin who hold non‑SAARC passports—are officially NRNs. NRNA Australia connects Nepalis here with our roots in Nepal. Through community events, advocacy, and partnerships, we aim to empower our members and contribute to Nepal’s development.
