WHAT'S ACTUALLY GOING ON
iOS is constantly deciding how hard your device is allowed to work. When it
gets too warm, it throttles: frames drop, 4K recording halts, charging
slows to a crawl. You feel all of this. You almost never get to see it.
Thermomator makes that invisible decision visible.
- Live Activities — watch your thermal state change in real time in the
Dynamic Island, on the Lock Screen, or in StandBy.
- Widgets in three sizes — a glance is enough.
- Chart View — see exactly when your device crossed the line, and for how
long it stayed there.
- Notifications — know the second iOS starts holding your device back.
- History and export — CSV or JSON, for when you want the receipts.
- Full iPad support, sidebar and all.
ABOUT TEMPERATURE READINGS — PLEASE READ
Apple does not let any third-party app read your device's internal
thermometer. If an app is showing you a CPU temperature in degrees, it is
guessing.
Thermomator doesn't guess. It reports the official thermal state that iOS
itself uses — Nominal, Fair, Serious, Critical — which is the value that
actually determines whether your device throttles. It isn't a number in
degrees. It's the thing that number would have been trying to tell you.
We would rather be honest than impressive.

With version 2.1.1, if you had the app before 2.0, you've been given Pro for life at no cost, so both should be working again after you update. Update:The change has been undone and previous of the app now have Pro for free. Thanks to the dev for listening to feedback, however note that you have to press the restore button if you deleted the app and reinstalled it. I thought this app was really cool. I really did. The design is beautiful and it had a good UI. Recently after updating, I find that already existing features from older versions of the app have been PAYWALLED after a recent update. I will not be supporting an app developer who is adding greed to a thermal monitoring app. I think the fact that it’s paywalled is absurd. Goodbye thermomator, you were good while you lasted.

I'm sorry. Putting features behind a paywall that were already free was a shortsighted decision, and reading your review made me realise how it must have looked from your side. You'd been using Live Activities and widgets since 1.1, and then one day I just took them away. I don't really have a good excuse for that.I've released 2.1.1. Anyone who had Thermomator before 2.0 now gets Pro for life, for free. You don't need to buy anything or restore anything, just update and it should all be back.From now on I'll only charge for things I actually add.Thanks for being honest about it.
