Vakit 2.1 is for Muslims everywhere: Quran translations in 24 languages, tafsir in 19 and hadith in 7, each from sources its community trusts. New • Choose your source: pick the Quran translation, tafsir and hadith translation by translator on one page; every text shows where it comes from. • Classical Arabic tafsir such as al-Tabari, al-Qurtubi and al-Baydawi. • Asma-ul Husna, dhikr, hadith chapter names and surah introductions in all 25 languages. • The ablution guide is read aloud in every language. • "Is this right?": on translations not yet reviewed by a scholar, tell us what's wrong with one tap. • Undo in the Dhikr Counter and Tesbihat: take back an accidental count with one tap. Improvements • Storage redesigned: largest items first, and you can delete several at once. • Widgets, the Lock Screen and Apple Watch follow your iPhone's 12-hour setting. Fixes • Isha marked "Prayed" from a notification after midnight now goes to the right day; tab bar icons fixed.

Vakit 2.0 is much smaller: only the content you use is downloaded, then it works offline. New • Content downloads when you want it. Quran, hadith, tafsir, guide images and notification sounds download once with "Download" on their screen, only in the app's language. Prayer times, notifications, widgets, Qibla and dhikr work with nothing to download. • After updating, the content you already use downloads on its own; it's all in Settings → Storage. • On first launch, "What Will You Use It For?": only what you choose is downloaded. • All of today's prayer times at a glance on the Lock Screen and Apple Watch. • New reciter: Maher al-Muaiqly, imam of the Masjid al-Haram. • Monthly support: you can now donate monthly too. Cancel anytime; it unlocks no features. Improvements • At faster speeds, verses flow without pauses. • Smoother screens, less heat and less battery drain. While reading, the screen can dim on its own after 10 minutes without a touch. • On iPad and Mac, Quran and hadith sit in a comfortable reading column. Fixes • The Quran player's repeat options and the Qibla and Nearby Mosques warnings work again.

• Build your own playlist in the Quran. Put the surahs in the order you want, give the list a name and listen straight through with one tap; download it and it works offline too. Touch and hold a surah row to add it to the queue without interrupting what's playing. • You can now listen to the translation: either the translation alone, or the recitation followed by its translation for every verse. Your device reads the translation aloud, so it needs no download and no internet. • A monthly prayer timetable: every prayer time for a whole month in one table, the way printed calendars show it. Browse months back and forth without limit, or tap a day for its details. • Friday now has a guide: preparation, ghusl, this week's sermon, Surah al-Kahf and salawat on one page. The new "Today" row at the top of Explore opens Friday, a holy night or, in Ramadan, the monthly timetable directly. • A Holy Days list: holy nights, Eids, the days before them and the three sacred months in a single list from today onward, with both Hijri and Gregorian dates. The verse, hadith and Name of the day are now in the app too, on the "Today's Content" screen. • The on-time rate is back in Accounting: a single number for how close to the start of each window you prayed your fard prayers over the last 30 days, with the breakdown per prayer. • Reading settings are now in Settings as well: text size, font, mushaf script, reciter and translation source (Diyanet or Saheeh International) in one place. Text size is shared across Quran, hadith and dhikr, and each text can still be tuned on its own. • The prayer times widget now shows all six of the day's prayers at once. In the tab bar at the bottom, Quran takes Search's place; Search opens from the magnifier icon in Explore. • With the Diyanet calendar selected, Asr appeared an hour late for some users — fixed. The list of wajib acts in the prayer guide is now complete per Diyanet, and the ruling on Eid prayer for women was corrected.

• Vakit is now available in 25 languages, including German, French, Russian, Indonesian, Arabic, Urdu and Persian. If your device language is supported, the app opens in it automatically. When you switch language, the place you last read shows in the new language too. • In Arabic, Urdu, Persian and Uyghur the whole interface runs right to left — the prayer screen, Quran, widgets, Apple Watch and the Mac menu bar included. • Jump to a verse or hadith by typing its reference in Arabic script: "البقرة ٢٥٥" in search opens that verse directly. Persian, Urdu and Uyghur spellings work too. • Apple Watch now lists makruh windows too, plus voluntary (nafl) times if you've turned them on. • Explore rows show where you stand: remaining qada, today's dhikr, where you left off in hadith, today's Hijri date. • Widgets added before opening the app are now consistent: no made-up times in the gallery, and a clear "Open the app" in their own color once added. • During Ramadan, Fajr is a single row: Diyanet calls the adhan at Fajr that month, so the separate adhan row is no longer shown.

• Prayer times now match the Diyanet calendar almost exactly: identical to the minute on 97% of days in Türkiye. Fajr and Isha across Europe, and all times near the poles, improved noticeably. • The prayer screen has been redesigned: a bigger countdown, one button to mark a prayer, and tap any prayer to open its guide. • Voluntary (nafl) and makruh windows are in the list. You can now see the time left until the next makruh window all day. • Jump straight from search: type "Al-Baqarah 255" or "Bukhari 5027". Search now matches word by word. • New reciter: Ahmed bin Ali Al-Ajmi. 1.8× and 2× speeds are back. • Stars and the moon in the night sky are now in their real positions. • Runs on iPhone 8, 8 Plus and iPhone X. Apple Watch Series 4 and 5 are supported. • The default recitation is now Hani ar-Rifai. If you already picked a reciter, nothing changes; you can switch any time from the Recitation menu. • The Friday sermon failed to download in some weeks when its title contained certain Turkish letters, leaving the text and audio empty. It now downloads every week. • Adding Nearby Mosques to the tab bar could lock the app on that tab. It now opens from Explore, and affected devices recover on their own. • Wider screen-reader support. Opening a prayer's guide, the name detail in the 99 Names, reordering dhikr, and widget countdowns now work with VoiceOver and Switch Control. • On Mac and iPad the prayer screen is aligned in a single column, and the Mac window opens at its intended size and stays there. • Fixed a freeze right after launch, alarms that kept going off after account deletion, and several iCloud sync issues.

Your settings are now the same on all your devices. • Your Quran reading preferences and last page, app language, temkin (precaution time), notification sounds and days, tasbihat routine, and suhoor and prayer alarm settings travel between iPhone, iPad, Mac and Watch. • A change you make on one device applies right away: prayer times are recalculated, notifications use the new sound, and widgets show the current value. Seven new reciters for Quran audio. • Abdul Basit Abdus Samad (murattal and mujawwad), Muhammad Siddiq al-Minshawi (murattal and mujawwad), Saud Al-Shuraim, Abu Bakr Al-Shatri and Hani Ar-Rifai. Word-by-word highlighting works with all of them. Vakit now runs on iOS 18 and later. • Devices that couldn't install the app because it required iOS 26 can now use it. On iOS 18 you get a notification instead of an alarm, the Lock Screen countdown starts when you open the app, and a plain background replaces the glass look; everything else is the same. Fixes: • A device without alarm permission could turn off the suhoor alarm on your other device. The alarm is now set only on the device that allows it, and your setting stays as you left it. • The "when do you pray" table in Accounting stayed empty on a new device; past prayers arriving from iCloud now appear as soon as they land. • Adding a bookmark on a second device could delete other bookmarks that had just arrived from iCloud. • Unmarking a fast on another device didn't restore the fasting make-up count. • Tapping a bar in Accounting history opened a detail that was missing the fasting count. • The Quran could open in the Medina script even though you chose Turkish during setup; it now follows the language you pick. • The calendar marked the previous Hijri day after the evening adhan; it now shows the same day as the prayer page. • The prayer card on the Lock Screen froze after the prayer time arrived: it kept showing the past prayer and blocked the cards for the following prayers from being set up. It now closes as soon as the time arrives. • The app closed on launch on some devices. When iCloud Keychain was off and the identity record couldn't be written, the app locked itself up and quit immediately.

The Quran now opens in the script you're used to. New: • Turkish mushaf script: verses in the script used in Türkiye, pages laid out like the Diyanet mushaf; word-by-word following now works in this script too. • Excused days: mark menstruation/postpartum days, your prayer counter and streak are unaffected, notifications can stay silent too; a page gathers the worship you can still do. • Fasting qada log: track missed fasts day by day; if your excused period overlapped Ramadan, the app works out and asks about the days you owe. • Prayer Guide expanded: fundamentals of prayer, ghusl and tayammum (Purification Guide), praying seated or with gestures. • Switch between verse list, mushaf and translation with one tap; the reading background (sepia/light/dark) is now available in the verse list too. • Add Arabic text, transliteration and notes to your dhikr; build your own dhikr chain and groups. • Search Settings in your own words. • Arrange your tab bar the way you like; Explore now sits in the middle by default. Your app colour can stay steady all day. • Holy days guide: a new page explaining what each kandil or eid is, what you can do that day, and the verse, hadith and dhikr chosen for it; kandil and eid notifications now also give the Hijri date and the worship suggested for that day. • Onboarding redesigned: language first, guide preference and calculation method confirmed in one tap, Live Activity asked upfront. Fixes: • Prayer times abroad now match the Diyanet calendar (Europe, US, Canada, China, Russia, polar night). • Fiqh corrections in the prayer guide (Subhanaka, tadil al-arkan, witr, congregational amin, seated/gesture guidance); the guide now states it follows the Hanafi school. • Many screen reader and large text fixes; text size no longer jumps around in lists. • Quran recitation: wrong verse playback, unresponsive play button, degraded fast-speed audio, corrupted downloaded surahs and clashes with the Friday sermon are fixed; the screen now updates when you delete audio. • Widgets reset at midnight, stay accurate longer, and now fill in even if you never mark worship; the moon is drawn as it looks in the sky; the daily verse now shows the right day's content. • The Quran, hadith and 99 Names wouldn't open at all when storage was low — fixed. • Deleting your account now clears Apple Watch too; changes from another device reach widgets and the menu bar faster. • You're now notified if your prayer times use a non-Diyanet method. • "On-time prayer rate" now shows the time actually measured. • The dhikr counter no longer redraws constantly, which was heating the phone; battery use is down across the app. • The day of a kandil is no longer skipped — it now shows all day with a "tonight" note. • Scheduled notifications (goals, holy days, excused-period reminder) now arrive in Focus and Sleep modes too; a Live Activity no longer starts for a prayer whose notification you turned off. • Excused-day notification muting and the end-of-period reminder are now reliable; you no longer get a needless sunrise alert after praying Fajr. • Various onboarding display glitches (notifications, theme, after account deletion) fixed; the tab bar now hides correctly on screens added to it, and the mini player sits in the right place. • The Friday sermon opens without waiting and correctly labels which week it's from; fixed screen glitches in Travel Mode and background Quran playback. • Fixed fifty spots of broken text in the Turkish mushaf script; alarms no longer silently fail to schedule. • The privacy text now states exactly what's sent to the server. • Plus many small design consistency improvements (colours, spacing, icons).

Vakit is now on Mac. • An alarm so you don't miss Fajr: If you haven't marked Fajr as prayed, an alarm can go off before sunrise, breaking through silent mode. Turn it on in Settings → Notifications → Fajr. If you've already prayed it stays quiet, and snoozing never runs past sunrise. • Mac app: Tabs live in the sidebar, with keyboard shortcuts throughout. Prayer times, adhan notifications, Quran, hadith, the dhikr counter and your worship records sync with your iPhone over the same iCloud account. On Mac the Qibla tab shows the direction and distance to the Kaaba in text — the live compass needs your phone. • Widgets and menu bar on Mac: 20 widgets on the desktop and in Notification Center. The menu bar shows the next prayer and its countdown; click it for a panel with the date and the day's times at a glance. • Stop at the end of a surah: In recitation, the "Repeat" button now offers four choices — continue to the next surah, stop at the end, repeat the verse, repeat the surah. The same applies while listening to a juz, and your choice is remembered. • See when your location was last updated: Tap the location on the main screen and you'll see when the location behind your prayer times was last taken. Useful while travelling. • Support Vakit: The "Donate" section was renamed and the amounts now sit right on the card instead of opening a separate screen. • The countdown now looks the same everywhere — in the app, in widgets, on Apple Watch and on Mac. Fixes: • The prayer times widget no longer drops its times and falls back to empty grey placeholders after a while. • Widgets no longer go stale after a long tasbih session. • For people using the same account on more than one device: favourite mosques, bookmarks, hadith read marks, surah completion counts and hatim progress are now identical on every device. Prayer and fasting marks you undo no longer come back. • Adhan notifications no longer go silent because notification permission was declined on another device. • The Lock Screen countdown for Fajr now appears at the right time and under the right name. • The new Friday sermon now arrives when you open the app, even if the notification never reached you. • Search no longer flashes solid black or white before the results arrive. • The prayer list on Apple Watch was simplified; marking prayers stays on your phone. • With a manually chosen location, Nearby Mosques no longer jumps to where you actually are; the map follows the location you picked, and this screen no longer needs location permission in manual mode. • Your "unread" mark stays: When using the same account on more than one device, marking a verse as unread could revert to its old count after a while. • More readable with VoiceOver: On the main screen the day's prayer times are now read out one by one; the Friday sermon's audio progress, worship streaks and the numbers in the period chart are voiced too. Switches in Settings state again whether they are on or off. • Turning the main notification switch off now also silences the suhoor alarm; your alarm settings come back unchanged when you turn it on again. • The suhoor alarm is set for the right day: when your device time zone differed from the selected location’s (while travelling, or with a manually chosen distant city) the alarm could slip by a day.

The headline of this update is the Friday Sermon — plus the full post-prayer tasbih sequence: • Friday Sermon: read this week's sermon inside the app or listen to the audio recording. You get notified when a new sermon is published; sermons you download open offline too. • Full post-prayer sequence: an optional extended tasbih order — istighfar three times, the salam dua, the dua of Mu'adh, Ayat al-Kursi and Surahs al-Falaq and an-Nas. The familiar 33-33-33 flow is untouched. • Makruh windows are now visible: the daily arc and the prayer list mark the three makruh windows; tap one to see what it means and which prayers aren't left for it. • Verse repeat counter: re-read a verse on a different day and its count now shows right next to the verse number. • Reminder at the start of the three holy months: you now get a notification on the night the three months begin. • Your on-time rate is now live: it shows the last 30 days and how that compares to the previous 30; tap it to see, for each prayer, a strip showing where in the window you prayed. • The welcome screen, Settings and the Support Vakit screen are simpler now — support options stand out at a glance. • Audio recitation no longer stalls on every verse: verses are downloaded ahead of time, so playback no longer depends on your connection even at higher speeds. • Your worship stats no longer disappear: fixed issues that could silently drop your usage data after long offline periods or connectivity problems. • The makruh warning now gives the right guidance: it correctly explains which prayer can still be prayed during the pre-sunset makruh window. • Prayer times fixed at northern latitudes: cases where Imsak and Isha were calculated incorrectly during summer in places like Scandinavia and the UK are resolved. The "Custom" method, which did not produce correct results, has been removed; anyone using it was moved to the method best suited to their location. • Cellular-data protection for bulk Quran downloads: if you switch from Wi-Fi to cellular mid-download, it now pauses and warns you. • Re-reading the same surah, or switching between iPhone and iPad, no longer inflates the verse counter; a verse counts once per day. • Announcement notifications now reach everyone: on some devices, registration for announcement and blessed-day notifications was failing silently. • Your prayer streak now only looks at the five obligatory prayers: a day only counts toward the streak once all five are prayed. • When you switch reciters during a bulk download, each surah row now shows its own download. Privacy: your worship tracking, qada and khatm progress, bookmarks, reading history and favorite mosques stay on your device and in your private iCloud — none of it is sent to our servers. The only thing sent is usage statistics, which carry no identifying information and are used solely to improve the app. Your data is never sold or used for advertising. The privacy policy has been updated accordingly.

This update lets you turn a prayer time into a real alarm, explore your worship history with the redesigned Accounting screen, and see the living sky everywhere: • Turn a Prayer Time into an Alarm: with one tap, turn any prayer time into a real alarm that breaks through Silent and Focus/Sleep modes — hear the adhan even on silent. Ideal if you sleep during the day. • Living sky: the home screen's atmosphere now flows gradually like a real sky through the day — the sun's color adapts to your location and season, and the crescent is drawn at the moon's true tilt. The same living sky stays in sync across widgets, the lock screen countdown and Apple Watch. • Redesigned Accounting: now two surfaces — Summary and History. In Summary, today's progress stands out as one clear number; in History, view Week / Month / Year / All trends for prayer, fasting, verses, dhikr and hadith, compare a period with the previous one, and discover your strongest day. • Yearly worship heatmap: a map that shows your year's consistency; tap a day to open its details. • A moment of celebration: a short celebration greets you when you complete the day's five prayers, your daily make-up goal, or your entire make-up prayer debt. • Estimated finish date for Khatm: see when you'll finish at your current pace. • Global snooze: snooze now covers both prayer and suhoor alarms, and you can choose its duration (5–30 min). • Notification settings and the onboarding step are now identical. • Fajr can now be marked right from Imsak in the Diyanet method: marking it as prayed used to stay locked until about an hour before sunrise; now you can mark it the moment the time begins. • Fajr is judged more fairly: praying before sunrise counts as on time; your on-time rate only drops as you approach sunrise. • An "Imsak" ("Suhoor" in Ramadan) label now appears under the morning prayer, so you can see at a glance when your fast begins. • Alarms now match notifications exactly: turning a prayer's notification off/on also turns its alarm off/on. • English widgets now show times in 24-hour format. • Visual consistency: prayer colors and the sky now match exactly across phone, widgets and Watch; Dhuhr/Asr colors are clearly distinct, and light-mode colors were strengthened. The icon next to the "next prayer" title was removed; every feature in Explore (including Fitr/Zakat) now carries its own color. • The Qibla compass and the Watch's sun/moon arc got a visual polish; prayer, mosque and worship icons are clearer and more meaningful. Also: a helpful screen when content can't load; small fixes to the suhoor alarm sound list, the notification master toggle, Watch always-on complication contrast, and support list icons.

The star of this update is Missed Prayer (Qada) Tracking: • Qada Prayer Tracking: track your lifelong missed-prayer debt per prayer time. It estimates from puberty to the day you began praying regularly (menstruation days deducted for women), you mark "prayed qada" after each prayer, and it shows when you'll finish at this pace. Qada now also appears in Worship Tracking rings, streaks and the calendar. Mark a prayer time's qada with one tap right from the Home screen; a Home/Lock Screen widget and an Apple Watch complication keep your remaining debt in view everywhere. • During onboarding you can now choose which content (Verse, Hadith, Dhikr, Names) appears in your prayer notifications. • Fixed and simplified the monthly worship summary in the calendar. • Fixed a rare hang and battery drain in notification scheduling.

This update highlights widgets, notifications, and reading tracking: • Redesigned Fasting Countdown widget: live second-by-second countdown to iftar and suhoor, with the time below and your city above — on both Home Screen and Lock Screen sizes. • Quick access from notifications: tap a prayer-time notification and a card slides up for its verse, hadith, dhikr, or Name — one tap takes you to the content. • Realistic moon phase: the moon phase now shows the real lunar surface (craters and maria) across the prayer screen, calendar, widgets, and Apple Watch. • Verses you listen to in the background now count toward your daily reading: even if you lock the screen or leave the reading screen, finished verses are added to your daily reading and hatim progress. • Worship counts are more consistent across iCloud sync, and a rare crash while updating location was fixed.

This update focuses on notification content, the Qibla compass, and dhikr: • Choose your notification content: add or remove Verse, Hadith, Dhikr, and the 99 Names of Allah in prayer-time notifications. • Recite the 99 Names in order: a new "99 Names (in order)" counter moves to the next beautiful name with each tap and starts over when you complete all 99. • Calmer Qibla compass: the needle glides smoothly without jitter or lag; a light tap as you near the Qibla and a distinct one when you find it. Same on Apple Watch. • Active prayer-time timer: see how long it's been since the current prayer began; the first half hour is highlighted to help you catch the congregation. • Fajr is now available in all calculation methods — track it, mark it and get notified; you can mark it as prayed from Imsak onward. • The dhikr counter sound now plays clearly at media volume; it stays silent in silent mode and won't interrupt your music. • A tidier Explore tab: "Quran & Hadith" and "Dhikr Counter" now have their own sections, with quick access to post-prayer Tasbihat. • Prayer times update faster while traveling — they recalculate automatically on a significant location change. • Favorite mosques now always appear under "Favorites" in Nearby Mosques. • The dhikr counter, Tasbihat, ordered Names and group dhikr now share one bead-ring design. We also improved location accuracy for nearby mosques and fixed various bugs.

The headline of this update is the authentic Medina mushaf — and much more: • Authentic Medina mushaf: read the Quran page by page in the exact same script and layout as the Medina mushaf. Every page begins and ends just like the original. • Offline mushaf: download mushaf pages by juz or all at once to read without internet. • Reading tracking in the mushaf: verses you read are now tracked in the mushaf view too — marked automatically as recitation plays, counted toward your hatim and daily progress. • Sepia, light and dark reading modes: pick the background that's easiest on your eyes while reading the Quran and hadith. • A 60-minute option for the pre-prayer reminder (in addition to 5/10/15/30/45). • Marking a prayer as done is now a checkbox next to each prayer — one tap. • Recitation no longer stops at the end of a surah; it continues seamlessly into the next one. • Prayer time notifications now arrive with your city and a verse meaning or hadith fitting the time. • For the Diyanet method, Asr is always calculated from the single Diyanet calendar time. • Smoother Quran reading, surah/hadith lists and calendar; many bug fixes.

This update makes reading the Quran smoother, with a few key fixes: • Swipe between surahs while reading: at the end of a surah pull up a little more to open the next one, at the top pull down for the previous — with a filling indicator and a gentle haptic. • "Continue" now stays on the verse you actually read: opening a verse and leaving without reading no longer moves it forward (same in hadith), and "Continue Reading" at the top of the list matches the page below. • The Isha "time is ending" reminder no longer wakes you after midnight. • Prayer times no longer jump to the wrong location indoors — only a sufficiently accurate, recent location is used, so times stay fixed to where you are. • Apple Watch no longer falsely shows "not synced with iPhone"; it calculates the exact same times as your iPhone. • Various stability improvements.

This update is all about stability and polish: • The Lock Screen Live Activity now matches the prayer widget exactly — city, current prayer, next prayer and the prayer list in the same layout. • Smoother Live Activity countdown: fixed freezing on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island; when a prayer begins, the timer switches to an "It's time" state. • The Apple Watch Lock Screen complication updates instantly when your location or calculation method changes; the next prayer now shows just like the app widget. • Asr madhab (Shafi'i / Hanafi) is now perfectly consistent across Apple Watch and widgets. • In widgets, the "Friday" label on the noon prayer now lands on the correct day. • The Settings screen is cleaner — row icons are uniform and calm. • Various stability improvements.

EUROPE • In high-latitude countries, Imsak/Isha corrected to the official reference. • Shafi'i / Hanafi choice for Asr. The Apple Watch experience now matches iPhone exactly: prayer list, Fajr prayer, and calibration indicator fully refreshed. What's new: • Apple Watch — Fajr prayer is now a first-class slot everywhere: in the prayer list, the dial countdown, complications, and the watch face arc. Previously the countdown jumped from Imsak straight to Sunrise; now the natural Imsak → Fajr → Sunrise flow is visible. • Apple Watch prayer list now mirrors iPhone: color-coded status dot next to the time (green = prayed, orange = time entered, gray = upcoming), Imsak and Sunrise shown as faded info rows, current prayer highlighted with a left-edge accent bar and bold text. • Apple Watch ↔ iPhone sync improvements: changing calculation method, temkin, or warning minutes on iPhone updates Watch within seconds; if Watch hasn't synced yet, a calibration warning appears on the main screen. • Apple Watch complications now show a countdown instead of the clock time — what users care about is "how much time left", and the actual clock is already on the watch face. • Apple Watch prayer notifications fixed: the Fajr notification now fires at the correct time (1 hour before sunrise) with the correct title. • Apple Watch main screen — Hijri date caption no longer overlaps with the system clock.

This release gives prayer tracking room to breathe. You can now mark a prayer from the home screen even after its time window has passed. This release is all about polish and reliability. Pull-to-refresh on the Prayer and Qibla screens now always completes. We rewrote the refresh flow so weak GPS or brief network hiccups can no longer leave it silently stuck — one pull fully reloads your prayer times and location. Dhikr Circle — Discover: • Circles started from Asma-ul Husna or the dhikr library (Subhanallah, Ar-Rahman, etc.) now appear publicly in the Discover tab. • The "Create Circle" button in the empty state now opens the create flow directly — no more dismissing into nothing.
