Combine audioflies into a single .m4b audiobook
Combine MP3, AAC, FLAC, WAV, and AIFF files into a single .m4b audiobook – complete with chapters, cover art, and metadata — ready to play in Apple Books.
AUTOMATIC CHAPTERS
Every file becomes a chapter with the correct timestamp. Name chapters manually, use your filenames as titles, or let the app generate them automatically. Chapter positions are calculated from actual encoded audio, so they land precisely.
BOOK METADATA IN SECONDS
Type the title and the app looks it up on Open Library – filling in the author, cover image, and publication year automatically. Or enter everything yourself. Supports title, author, narrator, and genre.
COMBINE MULTIPLE BOOKS WITH THE QUEUE
Add as many audiobooks as you want to the queue and combine them all unattended. Track progress per book, pause and resume, and click any finished job to reveal the file in Finder.
LARGE AUDIOBOOK SUPPORT
Projects over 25 hours? Export as a single file or split into multiple chapter-preserving volumes each properly tagged and ready for Apple Books.
FLEXIBLE QUALITY
Auto bitrate selects the best quality for your source files. Or choose 64, 128, or 256 kbps manually.
PERFECT FOR
– Audiobook collectors merging multi-part downloads into one file
– CD rippers combining chapter tracks into a complete book
– Authors and narrators producing professional .m4b releases
– Anyone building an organized, properly tagged audiobook library
Requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Universal binary – runs natively on Apple Silicon and Intel.

Awesome tool
dB~DK
Awesome helper tool making it easy to combine multiple audio-parts into a single collected m4b. Love it. Works perfectly on my MacBook Air M1

It combined all of my .mp3 files easily enough, but the resultant file was corrupted. It opened in the Mac “Books” app but truncated the last 8 chapters. Even the last chapter title itself was truncated. The Mac Finder correctly shows the total running time of the final file, but Books shows it’s 40 minutes shorter given something in the file told Books there is a hard stop in the middle of Chapter 12 of 20 total chapters. Tried to build the file again several times but got the same result each time. Not worth chasing a refund, though, for so little cash. This app is now in the trash, unfortunately. Bought “Audiobook Builder 2” instead and it flawlessly created a perfect final .M4B file in less than 5 minutes.

I wrote an early review when the app had first been launched in the App Store (which I did not realize at the time.) After finding a way to contact the developer, they responded quickly and positively to my concerns, and updated the app accordingly.
Developer Response
Please try the updated version. Problems you described should be fixed.
Useful, but not perfect
HDWriter
I used this app to combine MP3 files into an M4B audiobook. The exported book would not play in the Books app, but it would play in VLC. Then I converted the MP3 files to M4A, then used this app to merge them into an M4B. This was accepted into Books, but no chapter markers could be found even though one chapter marker per input file was requested.
Developer Response
Chapters export should be fixed. Please try again.
