more We squashed a batch of bugs in your stats. Day Streak now counts calendar days, your Workouts total matches across Home and Progress, and older or auto-logged sessions are counted correctly. Cleaner, more trustworthy numbers across the board.
4.5.5 Jul 22
• Fixed rest timers not carrying over from your program — your custom rest times (and superset rest) now apply during the workout instead of defaulting to 90 seconds.
• You can now resume an in-progress workout if the app closes in the background — no more losing your session.
4.5.4 Jul 18
This release includes security improvements and stability fixes.
4.5.3 Jun 25
What's New in 4.5.2
Smarter coaching that learns from how you actually train.
• Adaptive plan adjustments — When you regularly trim or add sets to
an exercise, your AI coach now notices and offers to update your
program to match. You're always in control: nothing changes until
you review and approve it.
• Plan check-ins with your coach — Ask the AI coach how well you're
sticking to your program and whether your prescribed sets should
change.
• Cleaner timed exercises — Timed moves like bike, planks, and
carries now show their duration as minutes and seconds (e.g. "5 min",
"30 sec") instead of raw "300s reps."
• Clearer program calendar — Skipped days now show as "Skipped"
instead of "Done," and your schedule advances to the correct next
day after you skip or finish a workout.
• Polish and fixes — The correct version now appears in Settings,
plus general stability improvements.
Thanks for training with MaximumFit!
4.5.2 Jun 22
Thanks for using MaximumFit! This update brings smoother
weight tracking and more accurate progress charts:
• Apple Health weight sync everywhere — your AI Coach profile
now pulls your latest body weight from Apple Health
automatically, just like the Profile and Progress screens.
Connect Apple Health once and your weight stays in sync.
• More accurate Lift Trends — bench press variations (like
"Incline Dumbbell Bench Press" and "Incline Dumbbell Press")
now count as the same lift, so your progress and personal
records show up correctly instead of being split apart.
• General performance and stability improvements.
4.5.1 Jun 18
Train with more structure and track your strength with more precision.
Warm-Up & Cooldown Phases
• Build sessions with dedicated warm-up and cooldown movements, visually separated from your main work.
• Warm-up and cooldown sets are tracked but kept out of your strength trends, so your numbers stay clean.
• Smarter rest defaults — no forced rest timer after warm-up and cooldown moves, and you can adjust rest mid-workout.
Raw vs Equipped Max Lifts
• Log a personal record as Raw or Equipped, with an optional note for your gear (suit, wraps, belt).
• Raw and equipped lifts are tracked separately, so a suited PR never overwrites your raw best.
• Tap any record to edit it, or delete it — full control over your PRs at last.
• Trends now charts raw and equipped progress as separate lines.
Smarter Program Scheduling
• Move a program day to any day of the week without rebuilding your plan.
• Re-importing or regenerating a program now replaces the old one instead of creating duplicates.
• A redesigned Workouts calendar is fully tappable and shows your planned program days at a glance.
Fixes
• A missed lift attempt is no longer saved as a personal record.
• Various stability and polish improvements.
4.5.0 Jun 17
Set Techniques
Dial in exactly how each set should feel. Tag individual sets with pause reps, tempo, drop sets, rest-pause, partials, AMRAP, iso holds, or clusters — while building a workout, editing a program, or on the fly mid-workout from the Actions → Set Technique menu (with one tap to apply the technique to every set). Your techniques now show right on the active-workout and summary screens.
Also in this release
• Fixed: adding a set no longer clears the techniques you'd set on it
• Clearer set details — specific rep targets and consistent rest timers across programs
• Apple TV: "Start Station" now works for songs already in your library
4.2.2 Jun 12
Adjustment to Workout and program creation and edit screens to now have modifications per set. Add pause, tempo, drop set, rest-pause, Iso hold, AMRAP etc... Also adjusted the rest time per set to start at 60s and go up to 5 min. New workout Audit feature added to help identify trends in progress.
4.2.1 Jun 11
Import any workout program
Bring a plan from anywhere into the Program Builder. Paste it as text or JSON, upload a file (.txt, .md, .json, or .csv), or just snap a screenshot — and the AI turns it into a full, editable program. It preserves your exercises, sets, reps, weights, and RPEs, and even keeps multi-week progression waves and deload weeks intact. When you start a new program you can now choose Build with AI Coach or Import an existing plan.
Smarter progression that waits for a trend
Your AI coach no longer changes your targets off a single great (or rough) day. The new Adaptive Progression setting (Off / Aggressive / Standard / Conservative) makes it confirm a trend across multiple sessions before suggesting you add weight — or ease off if you're consistently grinding a lift. Suggestions that aren't confirmed yet appear as "pending" so you always know why.
New Workout audit screen that triggers when a trend is noticed that lets you give a response to how progression is going.
Add exercises mid-workout, reliably
Exercises you add during an active workout now show up immediately, never duplicate, advance in the right order, and save correctly with your session — and stay in sync with Apple TV.
Fixes & polish
AI Coach Profile now saves reliably and confirms when it's done.
Cleaner Import screen with a clearer, card-based exercise breakdown.
4.2.0 Jun 5
Fixed: your profile getting reset after an update. Returning users on a fresh install could land on the welcome/setup screens with their name, Pro status, and trial state wiped. Your profile now loads reliably and is protected from being overwritten.
Fixed: Pro showing as a trial / Free. Subscription state now re-links itself to your Apple purchase automatically, so Pro stays Pro.
Fixed: new programs starting on the wrong week. A plan you create now stays on Week 1 until you actually start it — the weekly clock begins with your first workout, not the day you saved it. (Applies to restarted programs too.)
Improved: adding exercises. You can now Create a Custom Exercise directly from the program view, not just the edit screen — both places now offer the same options. Also changed favorite exercise and saved workouts to be more user friendly and easier to access.
4.1.2 Jun 3
Adjust for math and ui for the macro widget trackers on lock and home screens.
4.1.1 Jun 1
What's New in 4.1
• Trends — a new chart-driven view of your strongest lifts and how they're
climbing over time. Open it from the Progress tab, switch between your top
lifts, and tap any lift for its full history: best sets, estimated 1-rep max,
personal records, and recent sessions.
• Smarter goals — strength goals now update automatically from the lifts you log
in your workouts, so your progress reflects what you're actually lifting.
• Program scheduling — set a start date for a program, or restart one to reset
your progress and timer.
• Cleaner exercise tracking — the same lift logged under slightly different names
(e.g. "Lat Pull-Down" and "Lat Pulldown") is now grouped together
automatically.
• Performance improvements and bug fixes.
4.1.0 May 30
What's New in 4.0.2
Music on the big screen, smoother workouts, and a smarter AI coach.

Save & resume workouts — Step away mid-session and pick up exactly where you left off.
Reorder on the fly — Long-press to rearrange exercises during an active workout.
Program completion summary — Finish a program and see a recap of what you accomplished.

4.0.2 May 29
This release polishes the 4.0 experience based on early feedback.
• Setup wizard: Choosing "I'll do this later" now reliably takes you to the app instead of looping back into setup.
• Subscriptions: Your active plan now shows correctly on the Profile screen, and we automatically clean up stale purchase records linked to your account.
• Workouts: Starting a workout from the Workouts tab now opens the full Active Workout screen instead of a small popup.
• Exercise Library: The Filter panel respects the notch and home indicator on all devices, "Save as Favorite" is back, and saving errors are handled gracefully.

4.0.0 May 20
What's New in 3.5
AI Coach — Major Overhaul
The AI coach is now significantly smarter and more personalized. It now runs through a server-side proxy (improved security and cost control), has access to your full workout history via vector search (not just recent sessions), and uses a semantic memory layer that extracts and stores key facts about you between sessions. The coach can now look up your actual lift numbers, e1RM trajectory, and per-exercise history when giving advice.
AI Coach Memory Management
A new Coaching Memory screen in Settings lets you view and manage what the AI remembers about you — goals, preferences, training history highlights, and notes the coach has stored from past conversations.
Workout Notes (New)
You can now add notes to individual exercises during a session (via the new notes icon in the bottom bar), and a session-level note on the post-workout summary screen. Both feed directly into the AI coach's memory context for future conversations.
AI Chat: Tool-Use Architecture
The underlying AI chat system was migrated to tool-use / function-calling, making the coach more reliable at structured tasks like generating workouts, querying your history, and formatting responses consistently.
tvOS: Week Plan & Workout Preview
The tvOS weekly calendar now shows all 7 days and stays in sync with iOS completions in real time. Tapping a planned workout card shows a full day preview before starting.
Workout Session UI Polish
Strengthened bottom action bar with a wider Fail button and cleaner Prev/Next navigation pills
Max Lift toggle added to the active workout screen
Bodyweight exercises now display Load | Reps columns in consistent order
3.5 May 14
Bug fixes and polish across the app.
• Fixed an issue where the action sheet was slow to appear when adding an exercise during an active workout
• Fixed bodyweight exercises (planks, hanging leg raises, etc.) not displaying correctly in active workout sessions
• Resolved several dark mode display issues in Settings — buttons and backgrounds now render correctly throughout
• Fixed the About screen title appearing behind the Dynamic Island / status bar on newer devices
• Fixed the Apple TV Connection screen buttons being invisible in dark mode
• Fixed white backgrounds in the Social Sharing modal not adapting to dark mode
• Improved workout session sync reliability
3.0.3 May 9
Active workout improvements
Fixed a crash that could occur when adding an exercise during an active workout. You can now also create a custom exercise on the fly directly from the Actions menu — no need to leave your session. Tapping an exercise in the library instantly adds it to your workout without an extra confirmation step.
Exercise type accuracy
Bodyweight and timed exercises launched from a program now correctly carry their type and duration into the active session. Timed sets show seconds, bodyweight moves show the BW indicator, and distance exercises no longer show a "reps" label.
3.0.2 May 7
Small display ui fix in active workout screen, added ability to edit prescribed workouts on dashboard screen.
3.0.1 May 5
What's New in Version 3.0
Version 3.0 is a complete rebuild — new engine, new design, and the biggest set of features we've ever shipped.
AI Fitness Coach
Tell the app your goal, experience, schedule, and equipment. In seconds, a fully structured multi-week training program is generated for you — phased by week, with progressive overload built in. Not a template. A plan written for you.
Multi-Week Programs
Your training now lives in phases and weeks, not disconnected one-off workouts. See exactly where you are in your program, what's coming next, and how far you've come.
Today's Workout — One Tap
Open the app and your workout for the day is front and center. One tap to start. No digging through menus.
Redesigned Workout Experience
The active workout screen is built for the gym floor — large text, big tap targets, automatic rest timer, and a floating finish button. Everything you need, nothing you don't.
Macro Tracker
Log food by typing a description or snapping a photo of a nutrition label. AI parses it instantly. Progress bars for protein, carbs, fat, and calories live right on your dashboard and update your home screen widget in real time.
Share & Coach
Trainers can prescribe programs directly to clients. Publish your program with a share code so anyone can follow it. Built-in coach–trainee connection flow included.
Apple TV
Start a workout on your iPhone and it mirrors live to your TV — exercise name, current set, rest timer. Full-screen, no squinting.
Exercise Library
Semantic search across thousands of exercises. Filter by category, muscle group, and equipment. Save favorites to your personal list.
New Design System
Every screen has been redesigned from scratch — dark-first, high contrast, readable under gym lighting.
3.0.0 May 5
What's New in 2.6.1
Bug Fixes
• Apple TV sync fixed — When you fail a set on your iPhone, the Apple TV now immediately advances to the next exercise and updates the progress bar. Previously the TV would stay frozen on the failed set.
• Workout summary stability — Fixed a crash that could occur when dismissing the post-workout summary screen, which would leave the Completed Workouts list unresponsive.
• Failed set tracking — Sets marked as "Fail" during a workout are now correctly recorded and displayed after the workout ends.
Failed Set Indicators
You can now see at a glance which sets were failed in your workout history:
• Workout list — Each exercise shows a red "failed" badge next to the set count when any sets were failed.
• Expanded set view — Individual failed sets display a red × indicator instead of a set number, making it easy to see exactly which sets didn't make it.
• Workout summary — The post-workout breakdown now shows a "FAIL" badge on each exercise where sets were failed, and excludes failed reps from the total weight calculation.

• AI Coach Fixed — Resolved an issue where the AI fitness coach would show a "Network error" instead of responding. Responses are now faster, more detailed, and handle longer conversations reliably.
