Explore nuclear energy in AR! Place, move, and resize 3D models like SMRs and reactors. Learn through interactive simulations. Download now!
Dive into the fascinating world of nuclear energy with EGK NuclearPower AR, an innovative augmented reality (AR) app designed to educate and engage users of all ages. Built with cutting-edge ARKit and RealityKit technologies, this app transforms your surroundings into an interactive learning environment, allowing you to explore nuclear power concepts through immersive 3D simulations.
Key Features:
Interactive 3D Models: Place detailed USDZ models, including Fission, Fusion, Nuclear Reactor, Small Modular Reactor (SMR), Microreactor, Radiation Shield, and Accident Containment, directly into your real-world environment using AR. Each model is meticulously crafted to represent key nuclear energy concepts.
Move and Resize: Easily manipulate models with intuitive gestures. Drag to reposition, pinch to scale, or rotate to view from any angle, offering a hands-on experience to understand nuclear technology.
Multiple Model Support: Place multiple models simultaneously to compare and contrast different nuclear systems, such as SMRs versus Microreactors, in a single AR session.
Educational Simulations: Choose from seven simulation types—Fission, Fusion, Reactor to House, SMR, Microreactor, Radiation Shield, and Accident Containment—to learn about nuclear processes, safety, and energy production.
User-Friendly Interface: A sleek SwiftUI interface provides a segmented picker to select simulation types, real-time status updates (e.g., “Selected SMR: Drag, pinch, or rotate”), and a clear/reset button for seamless session management.
Robust AR Experience: Advanced plane detection ensures reliable model placement on flat surfaces. A visual plane indicator guides users, and automatic retries handle detection issues, ensuring a smooth experience.
Designed for Learning: Perfect for students, educators, and nuclear energy enthusiasts, the app offers an engaging way to explore complex concepts like fission versus fusion or radiation shielding in an accessible format.
How It Works:
Launch the app, select a simulation type, and tap a detected surface to place a model. Tap existing models to select them for manipulation, then drag to move, pinch to resize, or rotate for a closer look. The app’s status bar provides real-time feedback, guiding you through each interaction. Reset the session anytime to start fresh.
