Okay, so to preface this: I’ve been a CookieRun fan since 2020, so YES, I am a little biased- but that didn’t stop this from being a banger of a title.I love its new art style, making the game feel light- almost like playing with toys. Now, if you plan on picking this up rarely, you should know that at the beginning, AFK caps at 8hrs. So let’s get to now. I’ve owned this game for two weeks (got it when it came out), I have every character promoted at least once, quest #4,000, global rank #380. I’ve got to say, it’s an amazing title. You can fight others, create insane synergy, the story seems pretty cool (spoiler: multiverse tomfoolery), and SO MANY gacha pulls. I woke up this morning on 30-30 and they added an auto-quest feature (which auto-completes quests, a welcome addition to a previously tedious aspect of the game) and immediately claimed 5,700 draws. The caveat to this is the rates are horrible (but they get better the more you progress), with ‘SSR’ (equivalent of legendary) cookies having a .05% chance of being drawn— I blew through 4,000 of the aforementioned cutters (it’s gacha currency) to get two, so don’t be shocked when you can’t get immediate 10 star SSR teams. My only complaint is how checklist-like the game seems: do these dungeons to maximize your output, do these quests every day, this and that. I feel like it defeats the purpose of an IDLE adventure, but it’s also a hill I won’t be dying on and am willing to overlook. In conclusion… get this game. (If you want quicker progression, buy the ad removal. No forced ads, but it gives more gacha pulls!)
