I've played several merge games or other games that have these silly "storylines" you have to go through, and I ALWAYS skip as much as possible. This is the first one where the story is actually a little bit interesting! (Maybe I just watch too many period cdramas - that is what attracted me to this game!) I mean, it's not exactly high literature (or even a cheap beach read), and there have been a few bits I've skipped through, but there's just enough meat to keep me reading most entries. The game is also good about providing just enough extra energy packs and gems that I rarely (but not never) get frustrated. I've spent a few dollars so far, but if a game is basically held hostage until you keep paying I don't pay, I delete it. I've only spent money bc I like the game, I do think it's fairly well-balanced, and there are regular offers at prices I'm willing to pay.The one thing I would love is if there were a way to go back and change previous decorating choices - I'd like to be able to play with different combos rather than be stuck with something that it turns out doesn't look great with the next item. The decorating options are pretty limited as it is (but are at least all very pretty and well-designed), so a little more flexibility there would enhance that part of the game.A last note on the story: Sadly I think Qiu Wan should wind up with Tang Gan or Miss Noa instead of any of her male suitors, she has far more chemistry with them, but I doubt the developers are willing to go there.
