Rachunator is an app for storing Serbian fiscal receipts. Scan the QR code — your receipt goes into a local archive. Later, export to PDF when you need it: for your bookkeeper, for a warranty claim, for a refund or return, for yourself.
WHO IT'S FOR
If you are a knjigaš — every receipt counts as an expense in your books. The app keeps receipts in an archive; when you need to, you export the PDF and send it to your knjigovođa.
DOO owners and PDV-obveznik businesses — same story: receipts as proof of business expenses.
It also works for anyone who wants a receipt to outlive its warranty period. Serbian receipts are printed on thermal paper and fade within a few months. A digital archive does not.

PREDUZETNIK IN SERBIA — BASICS
In Serbia, a preduzetnik (sole proprietor) has two tax regimes. "Knjigaš" — tax on the difference between income and expenses; you keep books of income and expenses, usually through a knjigovođa. "Paušal" — a flat tax by activity type; receipts are not needed for taxes.
You can register as a preduzetnik in Serbia with or without a residence permit. The typical path for foreigners moving to Serbia is through a Serbian lawyer or knjigovođa — about 1–2 weeks. After registration you have a PIB (Serbian tax ID) and a monthly reporting obligation to Poreska uprava, handled by your knjigovođa.
Taxes for a preduzetnik on the "knjigaš" regime: a percentage on the income-expense difference plus social contributions. For IT freelancers, non-residents, and foreigners opening a business in Serbia for the first time, the knjigaš regime is usually more cost-effective than DOO up to a certain turnover. For exact rates and thresholds, ask your knjigovođa.
PORESKA UPRAVA AND eFISKAL
QR fiscalization in Serbia has been mandatory since May 2022. Every cash register prints a receipt with a QR code, and full data is stored on Poreska uprava's servers. When you scan the QR code, Rachunator pulls that data via the official API. That's the eFiskal system.
FAQ
"I am a paušalac. Do I need this?"
For taxes — no, a paušalac already pays a flat tax. For warranty or a personal archive — why not.
"Who is a knjigovođa?"
A person or agency that keeps your business books, calculates taxes, and files reports with Poreska uprava. Knjigaš — that's you (preduzetnik on the book-keeping regime); knjigovođa — the one you send receipts to.
"What are the taxes for a preduzetnik in Serbia?"
Depends on the regime. On "knjigaš" — a percentage on the income-expense difference plus social contributions. On "paušal" — a flat amount by activity code. For the exact calculation, ask your knjigovođa.
"Can I register as a preduzetnik in Serbia without a residence permit?"
Yes. Typical path — through a Serbian lawyer or knjigovođa, 1–2 weeks.
"Does it work for Croatian, Bosnian, or other receipts?"
No. Serbia and the eFiskal system only. Croatia, BiH, and Montenegro use different systems.
"Where are receipts stored?"
On your phone. No cloud. If you lose your phone without a backup, you lose the archive.
