Experience the thrill of horse racing! An augmented reality app that teaches you about the track, horses, jockeys, and victory ceremonies from your own home.
"EGK TurfClub AR" is an immersive augmented reality application designed for STEM education, offering a comprehensive and interactive learning experience about the world of horse racing. This app transforms complex topics into engaging, hands-on AR activities that you can explore in your own physical space.
The app's educational journey is divided into four main modules, each one focusing on a core element of the sport:
Week 1: The Race Track and its Components: Discover the anatomy of a professional racetrack. Using augmented reality, you'll place a 3D model of a track in your environment and learn about key features like the starting gate, grandstand, and the all-important finish line. This module is an excellent introduction to the physical infrastructure of the sport.
Week 2: The Race Horse and its Training: This module delves into the magnificent athletes of the sport—the horses. You'll be able to place a lifelike 3D model of a racehorse and learn about its physical characteristics, such as the mane, tail, and coat. The focus here is on the biology and dedication involved in training these powerful animals.
Week 3: The Rider and Racing Strategy: Explore the crucial role of the jockey. This interactive module lets you observe a horse and rider combination in AR, teaching you about the equipment, like the saddle and stirrups, and the strategies that jockeys use to win a race.
Week 4: The Trophy Ceremony: Celebrate the culmination of a race. In this module, you will learn about the traditions and formalities of the victory celebration, including the winner's circle and the presentation of the trophy.
Each module includes a fun, interactive quiz to test your knowledge. You can answer questions by tapping on the specific 3D models in the AR scene, making the learning process both memorable and effective. "EGK TurfClub AR" is an ideal tool for students, aspiring equestrians, and anyone who wants to learn the science, history, and strategy behind the sport of kings in a truly modern and engaging way.
