Ads are relentless. They hijack a tap into a new tab, launch another app you never asked for, or quietly bounce you through two or three sites before landing where you wanted to go. AutoClose closes those tabs by itself and stops those launches before they happen, right inside Safari.
BLOCK SITES, FREE, NO LIMIT
Add any site to your block list and AutoClose closes any tab that opens on it, instantly, no matter how many sites you add. If that tab had already loaded something safe, AutoClose takes you back to that page instead of just closing the window.
AUTOCLOSE: STOP ADS FROM OPENING TABS AND APPS
Turn on the AutoClose switch and ads and pop-ups lose their favorite trick: pages can no longer force open a new tab, a new window, or another app behind your back. A link that tries to jump straight to another app gets stopped before it leaves Safari. Tabs you open yourself, and links to pages on the site you're already on, are never touched.

AutoClose 4.0.3 adds a short walkthrough the first time you open the app, so turning on blocking in Safari is easier to find.
We also split the single on/off switch into one just for blocked sites, for more direct control, and the AutoClose switch (stops ads from opening tabs and links from opening other apps) now shows a running count of what it has stopped, in both the app and the Safari toolbar.
Before asking you to subscribe, we added a short screen that spells out exactly what stays free (blocking sites, no limit) and what is part of AutoClose Premium, so there are no surprises. The app also now shows your total count of blocked-site tabs closed.
