Neuvoice 3.8: Reading Playlists, Library Filters, One-Tap Reader Actions, Pace, and More This is one of our biggest updates yet, introducing better ways to organize, prepare, and enjoy everything you want to read or listen to. READING PLAYLISTS - Add the current web page, or select multiple links at once, to the default My Reading List or any Playlist. - Create new Playlists, reorder or shuffle items, and manage multiple items together. - Resume where you left off and continue listening through your Playlist. - Smart Downloads prepares upcoming Playlist items for smoother listening while spacing and limit requests responsibly to source websites. Due to operating system limitations, automatic downloads pause when Neuvoice is in the background or your device is locked. - Select downloaded Playlist items and export them as separate MP3 files inside a convenient ZIP archive. - Coming soon: Add content created in LAB or from pasted text directly to your Playlists. NEW PACE CONTROLS Speed changes how quickly the voice speaks. Choose from five presets: Tight, Compact, Natural, Relaxed, or Spacious. Pace requires newer content boundary information. If Pace is unavailable for previously imported content, simply re-import it using Neuvoice 3.8. BETTER LOCK SCREEN CONTROLS Choose whether the Previous and Next buttons on your Lock Screen move between chapters or sentences. Chapters remains the default. HELP IMPROVE PRONUNCIATION Pronunciation feedback is now available in the Book Reader, Web Reader, and LAB. Single Tap a sentence to: - Select Start Here to begin playback from that sentence. - Select Pronunciation to identify words that did not sound right and optionally provide more details and a contact email. - Start Here and pronunciation feedback are also available in LAB. If a book appears to be in an unsupported language, Neuvoice will let you know, but you’ll still have the option to import it. This change was inspired by community feedback. - Create your own voices by mixing from multiple built-in voices - with only your imagination as the limit. You can preview your custom voice using snippets from your own sample text, with unlimited previews available for everyone. Regular users get one custom voice slot, while Premium users can enjoy unlimited slots for saving newly created voices. We worked hard to bring custom voice mixing to life, and we hope you enjoy creating with it as much as we enjoyed building it! - We’ve also enhanced the Paste experience and renamed it Lab. Try pasting in your own content, explore sample text, and preview any narration with your newly created voices. You don’t need to save the text to hear it or experiment with different voices — you can start listening directly from Lab. - Zen Mode: Rotate your phone or tablet to landscape mode, then tap the Zen Mode icon in the bottom-right corner to instantly enter a fullscreen, distraction-free listening experience. - You can now mark voices as favorites, so they’re always easy to find at the top of the voice list.

- Fixed a chapter navigation issue reported by the community. In some cases, after switching between chapters, playback could return to a previously selected chapter instead of continuing forward. Playback now correctly moves to the next chapter after the current chapter finishes. You do not need to reimport the book to see this fix.

- EPUB and PDF imports are now dramatically faster and more reliable. - By popular request, Neuvoice now supports automatic OCR (Optical Character Recognition) for scanned PDFs. Simply import a scanned document and Neuvoice will convert it into text and narrate it with remarkably high accuracy.

Special thanks to the Neuvoice community for helping us identify and test these issues, especially on the iPhone SE (2nd generation) (released in 2020 with 3 GB memory) and iPad (9th generation) (released in 2021 with 3 GB memory), two older Apple devices that still support iOS 26 / iPadOS 26. Interestingly, the older iPhone XR (released in 2018 with 3 GB memory) is much less affected because it does not support iOS 26 and remains on iOS 18, which has a smaller operating system memory footprint. Neuvoice now runs much more smoothly and reliably on all above mentioned older devices despite the increased memory demands of newer operating system versions.
