Record a meeting, lecture or doctor visit, then ask your recordings anything — Lunir jumps to the exact moment it was said. Pro adds live translation as you talk.
Lunir records and transcribes what people actually say: meetings, online calls, lectures, interviews, an appointment at the doctor. That is the everyday job, and it is what most people open Lunir for. Everything else is built on top of it.
DURING THE CONVERSATION
Open the live assistant and it follows along with you.
• Translation as it happens. Choose a language and the translation runs on screen; with headphones connected it is also read aloud in your ear, so you can follow a conversation you would otherwise miss.
• Ask, and it answers. Type a question — "sum this up", "what did they say about the deadline?" — or press the ask button to have it pick up the question that was just put to you out loud. Answers are built from the whole session so far, and can draw on this conversation, on your earlier recordings, or on general knowledge. Nothing is answered on its own: it replies only when you ask it to.
• An earlier recording can come back by itself. When the talk drifts onto something you have discussed before, a quiet card appears with that recording and the moment inside it.
• On Mac, a Code tab reads a window you pick and works through the problem on screen.
A live session is for the moment itself — it is not saved into your library.
AFTER THE CONVERSATION
• Meaning, not keywords. Ask your library a question in ordinary words and get an answer with links to the exact moments. The search index is stored on your device and the matching runs locally.
• Similar recordings, computed entirely offline on your device.
• Automatic titles, dialogue split by speaker, editable text, your own prompts and a prompt library, and translation of a finished transcript into 79 languages.
• Action cards: agreements, calls and meetings found in the text, added to Calendar, Contacts or Reminders in one tap.
• A weekly digest of the past week's recordings.
• AI chat on any transcript — ask it to summarise, pull out tasks, or rewrite.
RECORDING, IMPORT, EXPORT
Crash-resistant recording that survives an interrupted session. Import audio and video files. Merge, trim and split. Transcription covers sessions of up to 10 hours; past that, Lunir offers to split the file into parts. Export to TXT, PDF, DOCX, CSV, Markdown or SRT.
MAC, WATCH AND WIDGETS
On Mac, Lunir records your microphone and the system audio together, so both sides of a Zoom, Meet or Teams call land in one transcript. Copy any recording to iCloud, pCloud or Google Drive and open it on another device. Apple Watch, widgets, Live Activity and Dynamic Island.
PRIVACY
Transcripts, translations, AI results and cloud copies are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and your key is kept in the Keychain. Off-Grid switches off Wi-Fi and mobile data on your device in one tap, so nothing interrupts a recording. Connect your own LLM provider, or open your transcripts to AI agents over MCP.
PLANS
Base is free and covers recording, transcription, search across your library, action cards, the weekly digest, transcript translation and export — within a monthly usage limit, shown as a 0-100% bar with its reset date.
Pro, Max and Max+ are monthly subscriptions. They add the live assistant (live translation, live answers, the Mac Code tab), import by link, Off-Grid, MCP access, your own AI provider, professional-term dictionaries, personal-data masking, Shortcuts, AI-built PDF documents and PDF mailing. The three differ only in the size of the limit: Max is 5x Pro, Max+ 8x.
A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings.

I have 3 kids and somehow ended up running the school PTA which means endless meetings I have to remember details from. Started using this to record everything (with permission obviously). Love that I can just import voice memos from my phone or even forward audio from messages. The weekly digest is honestly so helpful, I get a quick recap of the week without scrolling through everything. Wish the subscription was a little cheaper but I get it, the AI stuff isnt free to run. Recommend to any parent juggling too much 👍
Developer Response
It's wonderful to hear the app is helping you manage such a busy schedule. The weekly digest is one of those features designed precisely for situations where there's simply no time to revisit every recording in detail, so we're glad it's proving useful. Regarding the subscription, we appreciate your understanding, and we'd also like to mention that one-time minute packages are available without an expiration date, which some users find more flexible. Thank you for the thoughtful recommendation. With respect,Transcribe | AI Teamsupport@loonix.dev
Finally paperless depositions
travinka006
As a paralegal I sit through long depositions and having accurate transcripts fast is everything. What sold me was the PII masking option, I can turn it on before sending anything through and sensitive names get covered. The key terms feature also helps a ton with legal jargon that other apps butcher. Exports clean to PDF which is what our office uses. Small gripe, the interface had a lot going on the first time I opened it, took me a day to figure out where everything lives. Past that, no complaints.
Developer Response
PII masking was built with exactly this kind of use case in mind, so it's reassuring to hear it's holding up in real deposition work. And key terms tends to punch above its weight with legal vocabulary, one of those quiet features that makes the difference between a usable transcript and a frustrating one. The UI note is fair, we know the app throws a lot at you on day one, and we're working on a cleaner first-run experience in upcoming updates. With respect,Transcribe | AI Teamsupport@loonix.dev
Saved my whole semester ngl
Margo_spb_
ok so i was failing my history class becuase i could never keep up taking notes during lectures. my friend told me about this and now i just hit record and actually pay attention in class. comes back and the whole lecture is there with timestamps. the search is what gets me tho, like i typed "french revolution causes" and it jumped straight to that part of the lecture from 3 weeks ago. didnt even remember which day we covered it. went from a C to a B+ on my last paper fr
Developer Response
Congratulations on the improvement in your grade — that's a meaningful result, and we're glad the app played a part in it. The semantic search is particularly well suited to academic use cases, where the ability to retrieve specific topics across an entire semester of recordings can make a real difference. If you haven't already, you may also find the AI Assistant helpful for generating study summaries or extracting key concepts from your lectures. Best of luck with the rest of the semester. With respect,Transcribe | AI Teamsupport@loonix.dev
Weekly digest is a lifesaver
V1taUS
Running a distributed team means back to back meetings all week. By friday I could barely remember what we discussed on monday. The weekly digest feature literally solved this for me, every sunday night I get a summary of all the meetings with action items pulled out. I forward relevant parts to my team and we actually follow through on things now. Also the dialog mode with speaker separation helps when I need to attribute something to a specific person in my notes.
Developer Response
Back-to-back meetings all week is brutal, and the Monday-by-Friday memory fade is something we hear from a lot of distributed leads. Happy the weekly digest fits naturally into your Sunday routine and that the action items are actually moving things forward on your team. If you ever need to dig back into a specific moment, the semantic search lets you ask things like "what did we decide about Q2 priorities" and jumps straight to the relevant timestamp, which pairs nicely with the digest workflow. Appreciate you sharing how you're using it.With respect,Transcribe | AI Teamsupport@loonix.dev
- Live translation in your headphones is now much faster. It speaks while the other person is still talking, instead of waiting for them to finish a sentence.
- The translated voice keeps the speaker's pace and intonation, so a question still sounds like a question.
- Long conversations no longer drift. The translation stays in step with the speaker from the first minute to the last.
