Yeah, it’s like Sims 4 genetics. Super cool and complex. But the game doesn’t load even when I have a 1gbps internet plan. Is there any potential issues? And yes, I have about 1gb of space left so my iPad isn’t full. And it did load when I restarted my iPad but then stopped. If this issue can get fixed, I’ll update the review to 5 stars. But excluding the endless loading screen bug, this game is pretty fun. It is slow to progress in, but not so slow it feels like torture. Also, why’s this app 12+? There’s nothing bad in it… or maybe becuase it’s a social media-like app it is 12+

This game is quite literally the most in depth genetics game I have ever played. I love how relaxed it is, and how you don’t feel stressed about what’s going on. You can just hop in and play whenever you feel like it. It is honestly such a struggle to find decent genetics games that are laid back but have a bit of community with them. I’ve absolutely fallen in love with this game and am more than happy to have added it to my regular rotation of games. The gameplay is well balanced, the pedigrees are in depth, the costs of things are fair, the customization of pets is amazing.. just so many positives, I am so glad my friend showed me this game!Some feedback I have for the app, just little things because genuinely this game is so great:1. The color text BCC doesn’t show up on the app, so a lot of the presentations look wonky. It’s also hard to edit presentations on the app but I don’t mind going to the website to edit them.2. I would love if there was an option to turn off haptic feedback. It gets really distracting when I’m turning eggs and it buzzes after each individual egg. So the ability to turn this on or off would be lovely!3. The notifications would be nice if there was a little number that popped up like on the website version. Right now I just check them when I remember and I miss a lot.4. Please make it so when you breed pets, the confirmation shows both pet names like it does on the website version. That’s such a small thing but super helpful with ensuring you’re breeding the right pets together!

So I’m not much of a game person, but out of boredom I started OviPets when it was just a Facebook game back in 2012. I’ve played on and off throughout the years, but I’ve always made my way back to this game! I’m super glad they also just released the new app, for years I’ve been waiting for that release for years!As far as gameplay, it takes a little time to navigate all the ins and outs of the game, but thankfully the community in OviPets is amazing at being helpful, and players come from all around the world. I’ve rarely ran into bad apples in my 14 year gaming experience (literally… after this long I’ve only had to block 1 person!) With the new app being released it is different than the navigation on the original web browser version- I’ve noticed a few have had troubles navigating the new app, however I moved over to it fully when it was released and I will say I like it a TON better than the browser version. You have a lot more controls to make things such as naming, egg turning, adopting, ect much easier! Any problems or glitches I’ve had within the app, the OviPets team was always super quick and successful at helping fix problems. All in all, amazing game, amazing community, and an outstanding OviPets staff. I recommend this game to every person I talk to games about. Hopefully whoever is reading this enjoys the game as much as we do! 😁

Fun game, a little hard to understand the functionaries as a young teen, but surprisingly enjoyable as an adultMy largest complaint with this game in all forms, is the performance between looking at eggs and the repetitive movements needed to turn eggs. The performance is dictated heavily by your network speed; which great on my PC but makes it pointless to even try on my phone. I would much rather load a lot of information at once for a longer upfront time, then have to wait for a long time to turn each egg, especially since this is the main gameplay loop. Perhaps you can make adjustments so the egg turn option is disabled for others when someone turns an egg 10 before and 10 eggs away from their last egg turn, that way the user doesn’t have to wait for the server to check if the egg was turned or not EVERY SINGLE TIME. Also I don’t need to know if the egg I tried to turn has already been turned unless I tried to get a credit from it. About the repetitiveness: it is damaging to joints to complete such an action so many times. Obviously it is our job to pace ourselves, but perhaps there can be some way to reduce this strain such as an egg turn mode, so that only one button press is necessary (to open the egg you want to turn) rather than two actions (open egg, and turn egg). Other improvements: as a newer player, it’s hard to find information about all exclusive/charity mutes. I want to know the timeframe they were available, their original price, and I want a central location to be able to see all of this such as a FAQ page. I can’t find any information about when the deer exclusive mute will go away. I also have issues finding the roadmap image for 2026 unless I go to other players pages. That should be pinned somewhere for everyone to be able to see. As a newer player, the names on this roadmap are often meaningless to me, I have no idea what “mane event” or other themed events mean. It would be nice to get a little blurb in advance to understand what will be coming, you do well with the upcoming medley, and exclusive mutes on the roadmap. Finally, there is no indication to players that you must be friends in order to turn eggs, which is one of the only ways to get credits consistently
