Package managers hide gigabytes in your home folder. BloatBuster now clears the npm, pnpm, uv, Cargo, Gradle and Hugging Face caches, sized by what cleaning truly frees.
BloatBuster finds the gigabytes your development tools left behind, and helps you get them back.
Drop any folder on the window. BloatBuster walks it, recognizes the projects inside, and shows exactly how much space their build artifacts and dependency caches are holding. Your source code is never touched.
WHAT IT FINDS
17 project types, covering node_modules, target, .venv, DerivedData, Pods, .gradle, _build, Library, .dart_tool, .terraform and more, across Rust, Node.js, React Native, Tauri, Unity, Python, .NET, Swift Package Manager, Xcode, Java, PHP, Flutter, Elixir, CMake, Godot, CocoaPods and Terraform.
Monorepos are handled. BloatBuster looks for projects nested inside the folder you drop, not just at the top level, so one drop covers a whole working directory.
Projects are listed biggest first, with every artifact split into dependency caches, which are re-downloaded, and build outputs, which are recompiled.
XCODE'S HIDDEN CACHES
Xcode keeps a build cache for every project you have ever opened, all in one folder under your Library, and it keeps them long after the projects themselves are moved, renamed or deleted. Grant access to that folder once and every entry is listed with its size and last build date, stale ones flagged, then cleared to the Trash like everything else. The caches Xcode shares across projects are grouped apart from the per-project folders, because removing those slows the next build of everything.
Xcode also copies several gigabytes of symbols off every iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Apple Watch or Vision Pro you connect, once per OS version, and never removes the old ones. Choose the Xcode folder once and BloatBuster lists those device support folders for every platform, with the copies a newer one has replaced grouped apart as the pile that is safe to clear. Once every Xcode on your Mac is 27 or newer, the copies it can no longer use are grouped apart too.
PACKAGE MANAGER CACHES
Grant access to your home folder once and BloatBuster lists the caches your tools keep there, one row per tool: npm, pnpm, Yarn, Bun, uv, pip, Cargo, Gradle, CocoaPods, Homebrew, NuGet, Composer and Dart. Every Hugging Face model and dataset you have downloaded gets its own row.
Sizes are what cleaning actually frees. pnpm and uv share part of their caches with your projects, and that part is not counted, because removing the cache would not give it back.
ONLY WHAT YOU GRANT
Beyond the folders you drop, BloatBuster reaches only Xcode's build cache, the Xcode folder and your home folder, each through a grant you give it. From the Xcode folder it lists device support alone, so your archives are never offered. From your home folder it lists those caches alone, never your files or the tools you installed.
KNOW WHAT IS SAFE TO REMOVE
• Rebuild command per project, so you know what it costs to get it back: cargo build, npm install, pod install, terraform init
• Stale projects flagged after 90 days untouched, which is where the easiest wins usually are
• Everything is moved to the Trash, never permanently deleted, so nothing is gone until you empty it
• Exclusion patterns for folders you never want scanned
TRACK WHAT YOU RECLAIM
The header keeps a running total of reclaimable space, how much of it is stale, and how much is dependency cache. After a clean, BloatBuster records what it freed and keeps a lifetime tally.
Folders you scan are remembered as workspaces, so the ones you clean regularly are one click away on the home screen.
CHECK WITHOUT OPENING THE APP
"Show Reclaimable Space" works from Spotlight and Shortcuts, and reports on any saved workspace. It only reads. It never cleans.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
BloatBuster is sandboxed and ships with no network access at all. It cannot report on your projects because it cannot reach the network, and it only ever sees the folders you hand it.

BloatBuster now cleans the caches your package managers keep in your home folder.
Grant access to your home folder once from the home screen and BloatBuster lists them, one row per tool: npm, pnpm, Yarn, Bun, uv, pip, Cargo, Gradle, CocoaPods, Homebrew, NuGet, Composer and Dart. Every Hugging Face model and dataset you have downloaded gets its own row, and the Gradle versions a newer one has replaced are grouped apart.
Sizes are what cleaning actually frees. pnpm and uv share part of their caches with your projects, so removing the cache would not give that part back, and it is not counted. On one developer Mac, uv's 54 GB cache freed 8.2 GB.
Nothing else in your home folder is ever listed, and the tools you installed are left alone.
Also new:
• Device support copies that no Xcode on your Mac can use any more are grouped as unsupported, once every Xcode you have installed is 27 or newer
• A new app icon: a stack of build output shedding its stale top layer
