The 2.1 rebuild opens a focused full-screen window that captures every key event before macOS can route it anywhere else. No permissions, no prompts, same end result: the keyboard is paused. A quick Q&A: • Does this lock my whole Mac? No — it pauses the keyboard, not your session. Mouse and trackpad keep working. To lock the entire machine, use Control+Cmd+Q (built into macOS). • What if the app crashes while the lock is on? Quitting KeyBlock — through Force Quit or a reboot — instantly returns control of the keyboard. There is no system-level hook to clean up. • Does it work over remote desktop? No. KeyBlock intercepts local keystrokes; a remote session takes a different path. • Will it interfere with other apps? No. While the lock is off, KeyBlock is just an idle menu bar icon.
