Have been following them for a while before the app was released through their social and newsletter - super helpful and fun content led by real monks and nuns and the founder. In the app it has some cool features like walking you through building a monk-inspired schedule and tracking your progress. If you struggle with phone addiction at all (like me :/ ) they have a helpful feature that lets you block apps you struggle with so you literally can't get into them. Pretty solid imo overall for an app that just launched

The name tells you what the content wants to accomplishment - a mindset like a monk. The various monks give different perspectives on the life of a monk and how prayer centers their lives. The challenges provide structure while imparting information. It’s the mixture of prayer and how important community is to reaching a greater understanding of God’s peace that draws me to this app. The lessons are concise and easy to understand. Yes, sometimes the app can be glitchy, but that’s small inconvenience and a chance to practice patience.

This app brings a new approach to an ancient source of wisdom: monasticism. The teachings from monks and nuns is bite sized and practical making it much easier to apply small shifts every day, all aimed at building a more holistic and spiritually centered lifestyle. The commitment building and app blocking features also assist the follow through by applying the wisdom learned into concrete yeses (the commitments) and nos (app blocking)—super helpful in a world full of distractions.

This a wonderful app to help you in your discernment for your vocation and also in living out your vocation. A place where you are met and supported in living fully alive in Christ. As a college student this app has helped me grow with great intentionally and a continuous focus on placing God at the center of everything in my life.
