I’ve only played around a bit and I’m loving it so far, I just wish imports could overlap the boundaries same way as the drawings. I’m having to do a number of extra steps to align if I want any overlap with drawings from other apps or to trace pictures because they auto crop. Could also be solved with other tile types and shapes.

ipad - its very fun 😀- love the colorways - shuffle colors is next level amazing - but can u put the shuffle icon outside the colorway (too many taps) and make colorway a floating bar or minimize when I shuffle - so I can see the color changes as they happen (partly hidden by the colorway bar)Bucket fill please - color drop is sloooow and cludgy and a way to access /preset the color threshold - type in number percent - and have in prefs barexport as layers - psd - exports as a flattened png 😞- need ability to have separate layers export for serious work (at least on the last version)ditto import a psd as layers (not flat)would be nice :)ability to import an existing color palette into the colorway; grab one from say outside the app like Coolors etc- pen sizes — allow me to preset diff common sizes I use - I use more than one size in say ink pens - way bigger sizes for certain pen tools - like doing a wash - overall- VERY impressed at the speed of this update- also which one of the pattern tools is the Ogee one ?-I notice I can now create a 12 in 300 dpi tile - great ! - - maybe list all the new updates - so I don’t miss them and also with an explainer video or link to a YT vid - love it ! can’t wait for more updates

I really enjoy using Pattern Draw. It has significantly sped up my pattern-making workflow — creating repeats is much faster, and being able to see everything instantly in the pattern preview makes a huge difference. The interface is intuitive and the app feels thoughtfully designed for surface pattern designers.The only issue I’ve encountered is with resolution. I create my canvas at 2500 × 2500 pixels with 400 DPI, but the exported result ends up at 210 DPI. I hope this is something that can be fixed in future updates, as higher-resolution output is important for professional use.Overall, it’s a fantastic app that I truly enjoy working with, and it has already become an essential part of my process.

A good start, but missing some key features

Drawing feels fairly natural on here, but sorely missing some of the brushes from our favorite drawing app. There are several similarities in set up and have some shared hot keys, which is convenient, but a few things like color adjustments are pretty disappointing. Even adjusting the threshold to the max, it still misses small details. Being able to alpha lock and fill the layer would be a game changer.I saw in some of the review responses that they’re working on a solution, but the seamless feature is only functional when live drawing. When moving the layer or motif past the tile border, it’ll crop it off (assuming it gets "hidden" under the joining tile). Occasionally laggy. I will say that it’s pretty neat seeing the seamless pattern take shape as you draw and design.
