I've been using patterndraw for a few months now and I really love it. It actually saved my life last semester because I broke my arm during finals week and could not use my computer / adobe illustrator to make patterns anymore. This app quite literally helped me finish my final projects and it was actually a much easier experience than using Illustrator. I love that I can copy my drawings from Procreate to it and I love how many pattern specification options there are as it's allowed me to create much more dynamic patterns. I also really really appreciate the new mockup feature, it's actually why I'm reviewing it right now because I'd love to see more mockup options! Specifically for apparel, those are the hardest to find online (especially dresses) and if you made more quality apparel mockups I think people would gravitate to this app even more!

ipad - its very fun 😀- love the colorways - shuffle colors is next level amazing - but can u put the shuffle icon outside the colorway (too many taps) and make colorway a floating bar or minimize when I shuffle - so I can see the color changes as they happen (partly hidden by the colorway bar)Bucket fill please - color drop is sloooow and cludgy and a way to access /preset the color threshold - type in number percent - and have in prefs barexport as layers - psd - exports as a flattened png 😞- need ability to have separate layers export for serious work (at least on the last version)ditto import a psd as layers (not flat)would be nice :)ability to import an existing color palette into the colorway; grab one from say outside the app like Coolors etc- pen sizes — allow me to preset diff common sizes I use - I use more than one size in say ink pens - way bigger sizes for certain pen tools - like doing a wash - overall- VERY impressed at the speed of this update- also which one of the pattern tools is the Ogee one ?-I notice I can now create a 12 in 300 dpi tile - great ! - - maybe list all the new updates - so I don’t miss them and also with an explainer video or link to a YT vid - love it ! can’t wait for more updates

3.5 Stars:I really like this app and bought the full version right away. I’m hoping the developers will continue to improve it. There are some really good features and then ones that just fall short. Color layers are nice, but once you choose that you can’t make normal layers when you hit the 20 layer limit; and it’s quick to do so because of the way pattern layers are structured. You have to start merging, which isn’t what is always wanted. Also, if you group layers, you can’t transform groups. What’s the point of a group if you can’t do anything with it without flattening it? There are a number of frustrating issues with selecting layers. You can crop your canvas, but you can’t crop by entering dimensions. Lots of little annoyances that make you want the developers to hurry up and enhance the product.

This is the App I have been waiting for ever since I got my very first iPad Pro back in 2017! I have gone back and forth these many years between Procreate, Adobe Illustrator, and most recently Affinity Designer. Each have their pros and cons. I really believe It all really just comes down to how each individual likes to create. And for me Pattern Draw has me being able to stay in my creative work zone without having to think about any of the technical navigation required in the other applications. Seamless patterns means NO mishaps of lines showing up in my patterns. Changing out any color is a breeze! I am having so much FUN making patterns nonstop! THANK YOU Pattern Draw for creating this amazing App! 💕
