MakersPreview makes maker files easier to browse on macOS. See what’s inside directly from Finder without constantly opening slicers or modeling tools.
It supports Finder thumbnails, Quick Look previews with the Space bar, and a lightweight viewer for rotating, zooming, and panning models when you want a closer look.
Supported file types:
• 3MF
Supports 3MF files from Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, OrcaSlicer, and Cura, including model and build plate previews. Optimized for files downloaded from MakerWorld and Printables (Printables support requires the optional browser extension).
• GLB
Supports standard GLB 3D model files, including models generated by today’s AI 3D tools such as Hi3D, Hunyuan3D, Meshy, Tripo3D, MakerWorld MakerLab, and more. It also supports standard GLB files exported from traditional 3D creation tools such as Blender.
• XCS / LAC
Supports xTool Creative Space XCS files and Bambu Lab LAC files for quickly previewing laser cutting and engraving projects.

3MF files by the thousand! If I could get back the hours I’ve spent loading files into Bambu Studio while cursing the fact that I couldn’t even see what the model was, I’d have a lot more time for printing. This is a brilliant utility and exactly what macOS needed for the 3D printing world. Fast, simple, and genuinely useful. Thank you!

Like some others have said, this app fills a void in the printing process. Not having to load a model into a slicer just to check it out or make sure you have the right one (in a downloads folder full of .3mf files) is amazing. So glad I found this.

OMGosh, I installed this and watched a folder of .3mf files change before my eyes into beautiful icons! No more hunting and pecking to find the file I’m looking for. Thank you for a great plugin, the Finder is now complete! :-)
