MakersPreview brings your maker files to life with instant thumbnails, previews, and a lightweight viewer on macOS. Built for 3D printing and laser cutting workflows, it helps you recognize files faster and check what you need without always opening heavy apps.
For 3D printing, MakersPreview supports 3MF files from Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, Cura, and OrcaSlicer, and is optimized for models downloaded from MakerWorld and Printables, two of the most popular platforms for 3D printable models. MakerWorld support is built in, while Printables support is enabled through an optional browser extension with quick in-app setup.
For laser cutting and engraving, it also supports xTool XCS and Bambu Lab LAC files.
For 3D model creators, MakersPreview also supports GLB files commonly used by today’s AI 3D model generation tools, including MakerWorld MakerLab.

3MF files by the thousand! If I could get back the hours I’ve spent loading files into Bambu Studio while cursing the fact that I couldn’t even see what the model was, I’d have a lot more time for printing. This is a brilliant utility and exactly what macOS needed for the 3D printing world. Fast, simple, and genuinely useful. Thank you!

OMGosh, I installed this and watched a folder of .3mf files change before my eyes into beautiful icons! No more hunting and pecking to find the file I’m looking for. Thank you for a great plugin, the Finder is now complete! :-)

The icons are nice but the previews are great Select a 3mf and hit the spacebar, works in Finder or Bloom.) Easily worth the small cost if you have a lot of models to search through.
This update introduces new Quick Look preview options for 3MF files.
You can now customize how 3MF files are displayed in Quick Look based on your workflow: show them as a clear information card, or preview the content directly as a 3D model. Thumbnails are also configurable, allowing you to use the image embedded in the 3MF file, or generate one automatically from the model.
