more I’ve been using Helthy for about 3 months since it first launched. I was around 195 when I started and wanted to drop some weight and actually understand what I was eating instead of guessing.Food logging is the main thing I use. You can type what you had, say it with voice, or scan the nutrition label on the package and it pulls the info in and logs it. It’s fast; I’ll do “chicken and rice” or scan a bar and it’s done in a few seconds. I turned on the reminders so it tells me to log meals and I don’t forget. That’s what made me actually log most days instead of falling off after a week.It syncs with Apple Health so my steps and workouts show up. I don’t have to enter runs or gym sessions twice; they’re just there. I track my weight in the app and it ties into the same picture so I can see if I’m moving in the right direction. There’s a progress photos thing too I really like and I’ve been adding one every few weeks and it’s useful to see the change instead of going by the scale only. The app’s gotten better since I first got it. New updates keep adding useful stuff and it doesn’t feel bloated. Clean layout, no clutter. For me it actually helped because it made logging easy, kept me consistent with reminders, and showed me the full picture—food, steps, workouts, weight, and progress in one place. Only food/health app I’ve stuck with and I recommend.

Tries to do something you don’t see often. The idea is there, an attempt to only make you require one fitness app. It does a great job of not making you feel overwhelmed, very smooth interface. Still in the early stages so expect a lot of updates. All in all great app

A smaller update focused on fixes.
NEW
Tap the plus on Your library and choose between a new workout or a new program.
The AI workout generator now lets you pick more than one goal.
IMPROVED
Meal sections on the Food tab now open one at a time.
The meal review screen scrolls, so long meals no longer hide the Log button.
Signing out now stops notifications for that account on this device.
FIXED
Some notifications, like the evening wrap up and weekly progress, could arrive more than once. They now arrive once.
Streak milestones could be celebrated twice.
Rest timer alerts could go off for a previous set as well as the current one.
The welcome tour and the Premium welcome could open on top of each other.
2.6.4 Aug 28
This update is about two things: knowing what is in your food, and knowing what to train next.
Tell Helthy which allergens you avoid and it flags them for you. Foods that contain one are marked in search, on food cards, and on the food's own screen, so you spot them before you log. Where we could only work it out from the ingredient list rather than the label, we say so.
Training now follows an order. Group your workouts into a program, like Push, Pull and Legs, and Helthy tells you which one is up next and moves you along as you finish each one. The AI can build the whole program for you in one go.
Home, Exercise and You have all been redesigned, and there is a new welcome tour that walks you through the real app instead of showing you cards about it.
ALSO NEW
Your records and trends on the You tab, so your best lifts and your weight and training direction are in one place.
A workout editor that saves as you go.
An optional fiber target.
You can now share any day from your helthy weekly magazine
A quick way to log calories without searching for anything.
Notes mode, for writing your whole day out at once.
A coach that can log meals, set goals and build workouts for you.
IMPROVED
Improved your goal-setting experience and all caloric estimates given throughout the app
Meal photo scans show each food as it is recognised, and the review screen opens before the scan has even finished.
Step history is now counted by your own day rather than UTC, so evening steps no longer spill into tomorrow. Past days repair themselves.
Your row on the steps leaderboard updates live as you walk.
Setting up is shorter, and skipping Apple Health no longer holds your setup below 100%.
Redesigned the leaderboard sharing experience
FIXED
A lot, including duplicated step days, portion units that got worse each time you edited them, and meal types not carrying across when you moved food between meals.
2.6.3 Aug 19
Your weekly issues just got more personal.
- Fixed minor authentication issues and freezes
- Issues are now numbered from your own first week. Your first report is Issue 1, and the count grows from there.
- The current issue is now a full magazine cover, with a live countdown to Sunday's drop.
- Set a goal straight from the goal progress card on Insights.
- Picking your date of birth during signup is much quicker.
- Meals logged by voice or description now keep every food. Items not in the database get an AI nutrition estimate instead of being dropped.
- Editing or deleting an AI-logged meal with several foods now works correctly.
- Sharing a progress photo from the weight screen works again.
- Your weight graph now appears from your very first entry.
- The weekly issue card on Home stays dismissed once you close it.
- Plus smaller fixes and polish throughout.

Leaderboards are here. See how your steps, workouts, activity minutes, and streak stack up against other Helthy users. Joining is optional: pick a username in Settings and you're in.
What else is new:
- Smart cards on Home: a meal card near your usual meal times and a workout card near your usual workout time, so logging is one tap away
- One-tap logging of the meals you log most often (Premium)
- Your step count on Home now updates live as you walk
- Weekly issues now arrive every Sunday, and the current issue is free for everyone. A new Weight page shows your week on the scale.
- Photo meal scanning is more accurate and more reliable, powered by a stronger vision model
- Spoken or typed foods that are not in our database now get a smart nutrition estimate instead of logging at zero
- AI chat is smoother: replies flow in steadily and chat opens faster
- During workouts: tap to nudge reps and weight, drag to reorder exercises, swipe to swap one out
- The log weight sheet starts from your last weight so you only adjust it
- Redeem App Store promo codes right from the upgrade screen
- New feel: gentle haptics when you log, save, and hit personal records
- Fresh designs for the Home screen, workout creation, and AI generator screens
- Many fixes, including barcode quantities, meal logging reliability, smoother onboarding, and more dependable personal records
2.4.0 Jul 25
Fixed minor bugs
2.2.3 Jul 11
Compete on global leaderboards—rank on steps, workouts, and activity minutes. Turn on public visibility in Settings and pick a username to join, then share your rank.
Smart Home cards now nudge you to log meals and workouts right around the times you'd actually do them — swipe one away if you don't need it today.
See your recent weight trend right on the Home tab.
Meal and workout reminders now take you straight into logging instead of just opening the tab.
Voice and text food logging now estimates nutrition for foods we don't recognize, using your own logging history first so it's more accurate to how you actually eat.
Workout logging is faster: new +/- buttons let you adjust reps and weight without retyping (hold to repeat quickly), and you can swipe to replace an exercise mid-workout.
Also in this update:
- Faster loading for exercise demos and the exercise info screen
- Create Food fields now auto-advance as you type
- Fixed an issue where adding a new set could copy the wrong weight or reps
- Fixed a bug that could falsely flag a new volume personal record
- Voice logging now correctly requires "Hey Helthy" to activate
2.2.2 Jul 10
Added
- The free plan is now shown on the upgrade screen, with a clear side-by-side comparison of what you get for free versus what Premium adds
- A small "+1" animation now plays on your streak on the Home tab when you keep it going
Fixed
- Fixed a pop-up that could appear every time you opened the app, asking about your app icon
- You can now finish a workout even if you forgot to mark your sets as done—the app offers to save the sets you filled in
- The week dates on your weekly recap now match everywhere they appear: the Home card, the magazine rack, and the issue itself
- Weekly recap notifications no longer arrive before the recap is actually ready to read
- AI-logged foods now show a clear serving amount on the edit screen instead of a raw weight
2.1.3 Jun 16
AI Coach
Coach tone - users can now pick a coaching tone (motivational, clinical, casual, etc.) from a new Settings screen. Stored on the user profile and applied to every AI reply.
Photo meal grounding - macro estimates from meal photo scans are now anchored against the user's personal food history and food library instead of guessing cold.
Screen navigation from chat - the AI can now navigate to nine different app screens directly from a chat message.
Prompt caching - the system prompt is now sent through the Anthropic prompt cache, reducing latency and cost on the chat hot path.
Empty reply bug fixed - chat no longer returned a blank message when a tool call was immediately followed by a text response.
Hallucination guard - AI is blocked from describing features or color themes that don't exist in the app.
Exercise
Workout detail polish - duration moved into the stats grid alongside volume, sets, and reps. Main muscle shown as plain text under the exercise name instead of pill tags. Set table header columns now align exactly with the set rows.
Top PR modal - redesigned as an editorial record book layout.
Share card - shows a per-exercise name and set count breakdown instead of a generic exercise count.
Stash resume fix - resume workout now fires on every screen focus, not just mount, fixing cases where Android navigated back to an already-mounted screen and the stash wasn't restored.
Live activity - rest timer progress bar is now stable using an anchored start time. DM Sans font registered properly.
Food
Recent foods instant load - the recent foods list now populates immediately from an in-memory cache instead of showing a loading state on every open.
Focus refresh - the list re-fetches on every screen focus so newly logged foods appear without a manual refresh.
Cache cleared on logout - recent foods cache is flushed when the user signs out.
Meal type selector - unified to use shared components across all food logging flows.
Quick-action chips - moved above the scroll list so they stay pinned while the list scrolls.
Premium / Paywall
Banner flash fixed - the free-tier usage banner no longer flashes briefly for premium users on screen load.
Paywall loading state - paywall now shows a spinner while RevenueCat offerings are fetching instead of a blank screen.
Observability
Sentry (mobile) - added tags and breadcrumbs across auth, purchase, and key user flows.
Sentry (backend) - wired Sentry context and tags into backend error reporting.
PostHog analytics - filled in missing event tracking across purchase flow, meal logging, AI chat, and auth.
Goals
Macro recalculation - updating a weight goal now correctly recalculates macro targets to match.
Guide / Onboarding
StarterMode rename - SimpleMode renamed to StarterMode throughout the codebase and UI.
Modal polish - GoalTypeSelectionModal and LogActivityModal restyled to a grouped card layout.
Internal
Large screens had data-fetching logic extracted into dedicated hooks. Component folders renamed from hyphenated to PascalCase. Redundant wrapper screens and barrel index files removed.
