There is little information to find to demonstrate how this works. I see no way to log information or no notifications that insure it is monitoring or not. They were quick to activate my account once I uploaded the prescription (less than 12 hours) and the test alert and calls worked well for everyone, but that’s it. Having some reassurance or at the least an official video that shows what the app looks like both from the phone, and from the actual watch would be helpful. Also I am a parent with my child’s watch and child’s apple id paired to my phone so that would need a separate video than an adult monitoring their own. Thankya

Thank you for your feedback, it always helps us understand where we can improve. We have added a video to our FAQ section on our website (www.epiwatch.com), with a link to the video under 'How Do I Set Up My EpiWatch Account'. Once your subscription is active, and monitoring is turned on by pressing the blue 'Monitor' button on the watch face, you will see a blue MONITORING message at the top of the watch face, indicating that monitoring is active. Please reach out to us with any additional questions at troubleshooting@epiwatch.com.
Caregiver -Kathryn Gurley

This App alerted our son Ben, who has Epilepsy and Ventricular Tachycardia. The App alerted Ben BEFORE he had a tonic-clonic or grand mal seizure! It is very dark out, and Ben’s blood sugar was low. Ben drank some ginger ale, and Ben did not go into a seizure because of this App! We are SO GRATEFUL! We were in the same room and heard the ding, then a ten-second countdown to alert caregivers, which Ben stopped because we were with him. We have NEVER had an APP ( and we have tried them ALL alert us before a seizure! This is Brilliant, THANK YOU EpiWatch! 🙏
Latest update makes the watch die quickly
JT00055
The most recent update makes Apple Watch count the monitoring sessions as a workout - this makes the watch die quickly, which is a problem if you need to wear the watch continuously for many hours. The battery used to last ~12 hours while monitoring continuously, now the watch dies after ~7 hours of monitoring. We reached out to the support email but have not received a response, hopefully there’s an updated fix soon. Prior to this we had no complaints!!

Don’t waste your time
Peanut010901
I found an article online praising EpiWatch. I read how it was the only FDA approved app. Once I tried to create an account, it then requires a prescription from your doctor. Which was fine. What they don’t disclosed up front is the annual cost of $220 to use the app. You don’t find this out until after you downloaded the app, create the account, have your provider send you a script, send the script to the app, the app has to approve your script. Then after all that, you are hit with a fee of $220. Please don’t waste your time and energy.
Developer Response
Thank you @Peanut010901 for your feedback, and we are sorry to hear that you were not expecting a subscription cost for tonic clonic seizure detection and alerting. We try to make it clear in our offering that there is an in-app purchase required for the subscription. We do suggest that because EpiWatch is FDA cleared, and includes a prescription requirement, you submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. It is also FSA and HSA eligible. We frequently offer promotional monthly and annual subscription pricing. Please feel free to message us at troubleshooting@epiwatch.com for additional details and support.
Improved alarm reliability: Seizure alerts and Help button alarms now continue playing at full volume when your wrist is lowered or the screen turns off, ensuring life-safety alarms are never missed.
