Gear Inventory Checkout & Return bug where checkout and return would not allo selection on a serial number entered. Various bug fixes on Gear Inventory Opening a CAD alert now takes you to that incident in Incident Response. CAD tones play on supported operational devices, without changing the sound on older phones. Incident lists wait for dispatch types before they appear, so titles no longer flash as undetermined. Long incident lists load 25 at a time, with Load More when you need the rest. New members can finish account setup from the invitation link in a browser if they are on a computer.

Community Risk Reduction — departments can now document prevention, education, and outreach such as school visits, station tours, smoke alarm events, and open houses. Officers and admins log who took part; members can see their CRR hours separately from training. Optional posting to News & Events lets members sign up to help. Incident reporting — neighboring departments from your mutual/automatic aid partner list appear in the aid picker by name when they have a NERIS ID. Expenses — only officers and admins can submit receipts. Members should bring receipts to an officer.

Expense & receipt tracking is now available for departments that turn it on. Members can submit an operational expense with vendor, amount, category, purpose, and a receipt photo. Officers can review submissions, approve or reject them, and export records for the treasurer. Use this to capture spend at the source. It is not a replacement for your department’s accounting system. Pump tests — Link tests to deficiencies, keep officer follow-ups on the latest test per truck, and close repair items when work is done. Shift training — Schedule a start time and notify only the assigned crew. Officers see other crews’ shift trainings only if your department turns that on. Duty & maintenance — Clearer due handling for duty, availability, and station maintenance.

Fire extinguisher inventory is now in Forms → Maintenance. Add portable extinguishers by station or truck, copy the dates from the vendor tag, and see what’s overdue, due soon, or good for the year. Also in this update: • Incident Awareness — open CAD calls for pre-plans and nearby hydrants without a second report in FD Connect • Overnight duty hours (for example 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.) record more clearly • Completed station maintenance no longer shows as overdue

Incident photos: Take Photo bug fix when Camera is already turned on in Settings. Bug fixes and stability improvements. Fixed truck inspections (daily vs weekly, duplicate alerts, leftover drafts, crew locks, offline photos) and clarifies Incident Collection: archive vs delete, including deleting empty accidental records.

What’s New in 5.3.24 Track miscellaneous issued items as Custom gear (webbing, punches, and similar) and add Station Access Keycards. Members can request a keycard; Custom items stay officer-managed. Incident reports now show nearby hydrants and matching occupancy pre-plans when a location is available. Hydrant maps use NFPA 291 class colors so flow ratings are easier to read in the field. Completed incident collections stay out of members’ lists. On-scene photos upload more reliably. Officers can add training from the dashboard, including series that repeat on the same night of the week.

Version 5.3.23 (173) — What’s New Bug fix in user admin for updating members Deactivating or removing a member also stops their push notifications. Occupancy pre-plans can store a map pin from GPS at the building or from the occupancy address, so the location is ready for later CAD matching. Completed incident collections stay hidden from members so personal information remains officer- and admin-only.

Incident Collection is built for the fireground and for protecting sensitive information after the call. Take and save photos even with weak cell service. Shots stay on the device and upload when signal returns. Anyone on the incident, including members who were shared in, can take photos. Mark as Complete removes the incident from the crew list so owner, insurance, and other personal details are no longer on member phones. Officers and administrators can still open completed records and can Unmark Complete if more work is needed. The list now shows incident type at a glance: Structure Fire, Vehicle Fire, MVC, or Other. A help icon on Incident Collection explains what Complete does. Training sign-up is more reliable, including when you arrive at the station.

What’s New in 5.3.21 Recurring training follows your training night. Officers pick the night of the week, then choose weekly, every other week, or once a month (same week of the month—for example, the 1st Thursday). Each night still shows on the calendar as its own session. Track vehicles through their apparatus to keep an audit trail of documented repairs. Use Station Alerts for station, equipment, and safety issues. Vehicle Maintenance is no longer a Station Alert category. Officers can add training from the Dashboard, including a full recurring series. Edit or cancel one night or the rest of the series.
