Dive into the Internet Marvel AR! Explore the interconnected world of global communication with 7 weeks of immersive Augmented Reality STEM experiences.
Welcome to EGK InternetMarvel AR STEM, a revolutionary educational app that brings the global network to life through augmented reality. This curriculum, designed for 7 weeks of progressive learning, allows users to explore the intricate components that power our digital world right from their mobile device. Each of the seven AR models represents a critical element of the internet's infrastructure, turning abstract concepts into tangible, interactive experiences.
Week 1: Submarine Fiber Optic
Start by visualizing the vast underwater highways that carry over 99% of international data. Discover how these high-tech cables, far from sight, are the backbone of global communication.
Week 2: Data Center
Step inside a virtual data center, the "brain" of the internet. Learn about its function as a secure hub for processing, storing, and distributing massive amounts of data from around the world.
Week 3: Switcher
Understand how a switcher acts as the internet's traffic controller. See in AR how it efficiently routes data packets to their correct destinations, ensuring seamless connectivity.
Week 4: Satellite Communications
Explore the role of satellite communications in bridging the digital divide. Observe how these orbiting marvels provide internet access to remote areas, ships at sea, and aircraft in the sky.
Week 5: Satellite
Get an up-close, 3D view of a satellite. Manipulate the model in your space to examine its key components, from solar panels to communication antennae, and learn how they work together in orbit.
Week 6: WiFi
Uncover the technology behind the wireless signals we rely on daily. Place a WiFi router in your room and visualize the invisible network of signals it transmits to connect your devices.
Week 7: Computer
Conclude your journey by learning about the computer—the user’s primary interface with the entire network. Understand how this device, whether a laptop, phone, or tablet, sends and receives information through the complex infrastructure you’ve explored.
The app’s interactive quiz mode challenges users to identify and learn about each AR model's function. By seamlessly blending digital models with the real world, EGK InternetMarvel AR provides a unique and engaging STEM experience, empowering users with a deeper understanding of the technology that connects us all.
