Through hands-on gameplay, you will learn how gene drive technology is being studied to help reduce malaria transmission, including microinjection of mosquito embryos using precision lab equipment and transgenic screening to identify genetically modified larvae.

This update improves gameplay consistency, scoring feedback, exhibition mode support, and fixes several issues reported across desktop and touch devices. New & Improved • Exhibition Mode is now available on mobile devices. • Score preview is now displayed before submission. • Exhibition Mode pop-up windows have been enlarged for better readability. • The Screening module completion button now displays “See my scores” / “Voir mes scores”. • Microinjection scores now scale correctly on smaller screens. • Version information and beta tooltip handling have been updated. Bug Fixes • Fixed restart button behavior in the Screening module. • Removed the score display and next button after completing individual modules. • Fixed an issue where the Microinjection needle remained active behind the completion dialog, allowing continued interaction after finishing the module. • Added spacing improvements between buttons in the Screening module on touch devices. • Standardized the number of transgenic larvae in the Screening module across desktop and touch devices to ensure fair scoring. • Improved handling and messaging for contaminated batches: - English: “Batch contaminated” - French: “Lot contaminé” • Corrected score display and submission feedback when reviewing results. Scoring & Submission Improvements • Improved feedback when submitting non-transgenic larvae. • Updated contaminated batch logic to better reflect the impact on scoring. • Prevented misleading score indicators from appearing after invalid submissions. • Improved clarity around score calculation and batch validation.
