EGK GoldenDOME AR is an augmented reality educational app designed to teach users about the world of modern missile defense systems. Using the power of your iPhone or iPad, the app transforms your physical surroundings into an interactive AR classroom where you can explore and learn about powerful military technologies in a hands-on, engaging way.
The app's curriculum is structured as a six-week course, with each week focusing on a different critical component of missile defense:
Week 1: Missile Submarine: Discover the stealth and strategic importance of these underwater vessels. Visualize their structure and understand their role in modern naval defense.
Week 2: Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM): Get an up-close look at the immense scale and technology of ICBMs. See a detailed 3D model and learn about the stages of its flight.
Week 3: ICBM Launcher: Explore the complex infrastructure of missile silos and mobile launchers. Animate a launch sequence to understand how these systems deploy.
Week 4: Missile & Torpedo: Compare and contrast these two distinct weapons. Learn which targets they're designed for and how they function in air, on land, or underwater.
Week 5: Short-Range Missile Launcher: Understand the role of tactical short-range systems in defending against localized threats. Interact with a model that shows how it targets and engages threats.
Week 6: Iron Dome Anti-Missile System: The highlight of the course. Witness a simulated live interception of an incoming rocket, and learn how this advanced, mobile defense system protects against short-range threats.
Beyond the AR models, each topic includes detailed descriptions and an interactive quiz to test your knowledge. Tap on 3D models to reveal key information and answer questions by selecting the correct component in the AR space. The app provides instant feedback, helping you learn and retain information effectively.
EGK GoldenDOME AR is a powerful educational tool for students, military enthusiasts, and anyone curious about defense technology. Its intuitive SwiftUI interface and cutting-edge RealityKit framework make it easy to use while delivering a visually stunning and informative experience.
