Version 2.2.0 is an exciting complete rebuild of Follow Daily! PLEASE READ THIS FIRST This is not a usual update. It is a new app on new servers, rewritten from the ground up, and it shares no data with version 2.1. WHAT THAT MEANS FOR YOU - You will need to create a new account. Your old email and password will not sign you in. - Your habits, streaks, circles and invitations do not come across. You will build them again. - Nothing was lost through carelessness, and nothing is being kept from you. The two versions store different things in different places, and there is no way to translate one into the other. The clearest example: the old version had no record of who was discipling whom, so that relationship could not have been carried forward even in principle. We know this is a real ask, and we are sorry for the work it puts on you. Setting up a habit takes about a minute, and a Circle can be rebuilt with one link. If anything goes wrong, write to services@followministries.org and a person will answer you. WHAT IS NEW - Guide: walking one-to-one with a person. Invite someone to disciple you, or accept someone asking you to disciple them. Send encouragement, and control exactly what they can see. Every sharing switch starts off and stays off until you turn it on, and turning one back off tells them nothing. There was no equivalent of this in 2.1. - Nine Practices under three Priorities — Love God, Love People, Be Like Jesus — with guided, step-by-step practices instead of a bare checkbox. - Habits you name yourself, repeating weekly on the days you choose or monthly on a date or a particular weekday, with an optional reminder. - Circles, as a private group for encouragement between meetings. Posts to the group only; a Circle never shares your habits or your practice wheel. - Progress: a wheel across all nine practices and rings for the three priorities. - Report and block wherever one person can reach another, reviewable by a church leader. - Delete your account from inside the app. - Follow Daily is now an 18+ app, and the age requirement is checked when an account is created, while we build youth and parent safety tools. - Habits completed without a connection now sync when you come back online. CONSTRAINTS OF THIS RELEASE - A Circle shows its 50 most recent posts. Older ones are kept, but there is not yet a way to scroll back to them. - A post written with no connection is not saved for later. Write it when you are back online. Free. No ads, no analytics, no trackers.
