X-Gears is a high-speed robot arena battle with anime-style 3D graphics.
Pin your rival down with your beam rifle, dodge with a step, and close in with melee. Slide up on an attack button to unleash your gear's own sub attack. Cancel your attack recovery to keep your offense flowing.
Choose from a lineup of gears, each with its own fighting style, and sortie against the AI or online 1v1.
◆ Change your gear, change your tactics
Balanced all-rounders, melee fighters with swords, katanas, scythes and fists, shooters that plant their feet and snipe, artillery gears on treads, gears that command funnels, fangs or drones, gears that reflect beams, gears that change form, and support gears that back up their team.
Every gear has its own weapons, moves and mobility, so how you keep your distance and build your attack changes completely.
Gears cost 1 to 3. Higher-cost gears are stronger, but losing one drains more of your team's cost. Which gear you pick, and how you fight with it, is part of the battle.
Check every gear's moves anytime on the Gears screen in battle prep, and jump to any gear from the list.
◆ A wide range of attacks
- Main shot: beam rifles, rapid fire, sniping, energy waves from a fist, and more, depending on the gear.
- Melee: step in and land each gear's own melee combo.
- Sub attacks: slide up on the beam or saber button. Homing shots, boomerangs, irradiation beams, iai slashes, rushes, a chain that pulls the enemy in, stuns, barriers, beam reflection and more change the flow of battle.
- Special attacks: fill the gauge and unleash your gear's trump card, from giant irradiation beams and slash combos to power-ups and moves that stop everyone around you.
- Guard: block attacks from the front and repel melee to strike back. Some gears cannot guard.
Cancel from your main attacks to widen your offense even further.
◆ Thrilling action that flows
- Boost dash: close the distance in an instant, even in midair.
- Step: shake off homing shots and dodge attacks. Hold it to go farther.
- Cancel: cut your attack recovery with a boost dash. A step also cancels melee recovery.
◆ Test your skills online
- Random match: find an opponent automatically for a 1v1 battle.
- Friend match: create a room and share the code to battle your friends.
- Gear select: choose your favorite gear online too.
- Record card: tracks your matches, win rate, wins, losses and draws.
◆ AI battles from 1v1 to 2v2
Four battle types: 1v1 / 1v2 / 2v1 / 2v2. Pick the gear for yourself, your ally and each enemy from a list, set each AI's difficulty to one of four levels, and choose the battlefield: Wasteland, Colony, Moon or Random. After each battle, your kills, combos and medals add up to a score. Aim for the high score.
◆ Learn with 16 tutorials
Practice movement, attacks, defense and advanced techniques, then face an AI rival. Watch technique demos, choose any lesson and save your progress. Tutorial instructions are in Japanese.
◆ Sharpen your moves in Training
Practice with no time limit against any gear. Pick the AI's level or have it stand still, and turn on infinite boost and ammo or a full special gauge. Build your own combos while checking their damage, hits and your best.
◆ A battle UI that shows the situation
See HP as numbers and your team's shared cost as a gauge. Downed gears get a DOWN tag, an ALLY DOWN notice tells you when your ally falls, and double lock-on brackets show when you and your ally target the same enemy. In AI battles, the finishing moment shows the gear that went down and the gear that won it.

* Online battles are 1v1 and require an internet connection. You can battle players on the same app version. 1v2 / 2v1 / 2v2 are available in AI battles. Online battles are fought in the Wasteland.
