more • Fixed: On some iPhones, Camprio wouldn't open after a fresh install – the app crashed right at launch.
1.8.3 Oct 26
**Leveling**
• New: The ramps now look like real moulded plastic levelers – with treads, honeycomb sides and a wheel stop. They keep the right proportions on iPad and the unfolded iPhone Duo and are clearly visible in Dark Mode.
• Improved: In the ramp picker on the leveling screen, the whole row now responds to a tap, not just the name.
• New: A green ring around the bubble level shows at a glance that the vehicle is level.
**Activity Plan**
• Improved: Plans never start in the past anymore. In the evening, Camprio automatically plans the next day and labels it "Tomorrow".
• Fixed: Highlighted places appear in bold instead of with asterisks, and times, durations and numbers are shown in your language.
**AI Providers**
• New: Apple Intelligence (Private Cloud Compute) as an AI provider – more capable than the on-device model and no API key needed. Requires iOS 27 and a device with Apple Intelligence.
• Fixed: Mistral AI works again with free API keys. If the default model isn't included in your plan.
1.8.2 Oct 22
**iPhone Duo & iPad**
• New: iPhone Duo support — the app adapts to the folded and unfolded display. Unfolded in landscape, the level screen shows all four ramp cards, the vehicle and the bubble level side by side, without scrolling.
• New: On iPad and the unfolded iPhone Duo, the vehicle list shows a detail card next to the list — wheelbase, track widths, ramp profile and camping side at a glance, with "Edit in Settings" and Delete.
• Improved: The launch screen, layouts and the vehicle name in the title now follow the window size; the wind speed unit is shown smaller so the wind badge stays compact.
**Air Quality & Pollen**
• New: A note "Not available for this region (Europe only)" when a location has no pollen data.
• Fixed: The compass card no longer jumps when the air quality/pollen badge appears, and the badge is no longer hidden behind the compass dial on iPad.
• Fixed: Connecting to Anthropic Claude works again (current Claude Sonnet model)
• Fixed: Mistral AI works again with free API keys.
1.8.1 Oct 21
**Air Quality & Pollen**
• New: Personalized health advisory for air quality and pollen levels, for saved locations and your current location, based on the pollen allergies you select in Settings.
• New: Air quality/pollen badge on the main screen — can optionally stay visible at all times instead of only when elevated (Settings → Pollen Allergies).
• New: Pollen forecasts (Europe) now shown alongside air quality for saved locations.
• New: Activity suggestions and travel reports now take air quality, pollen, and your allergies into account.
**Other improvements**
• New: Added the "Brunner Equalizer XL" ramp preset.
• Fixed: The barometer reading is now clearly labeled as local station pressure, not sea-level-adjusted.
• Improved: Reduced battery usage from background compass updates.
1.8.0 Oct 10
• Fixed: After restarting the app, the Apple Watch could show outdated tilt and height readings for up to a minute before the connection recovered on its own. The Watch now receives fresh data immediately as soon as the connection to the iPhone is restored.
1.7.9 Sep 24
• Faster app launch with optimized database loading
• Apple Watch now reliably receives real-time updates
• Improved stability of data transfer
• Optimized Watch communication performance
1.7.8 Sep 20
• Fixed: Launching the app only from the CarPlay icon (without opening it on the iPhone first) could show the leveling display jumping between incorrect readings instead of your actual tilt. CarPlay now delivers stable, correct readings from the start — this uses the same "Always" location permission already used for continuous Apple Watch updates.
1.7.7 Sep 13
Ramp Stands Owned: smarter guidance with just 2 stands
New setting in each vehicle's profile: tell the app whether you own 2 ramp stands or 3 or more. With only 2 stands, we fully correct whichever tilt — front/rear or side-to-side — is larger, and warn about the smaller one. Available both on iPhone/iPad and in CarPlay.
More improvements
• With only 2 ramp stands, the badge for a corner that isn't being corrected now shows gray instead of green — a reminder that it may still have a smaller, uncorrected tilt
Minor fixes
• Fixed: wheel height numbers could be wrong when a vehicle profile's saved unit differed from your display unit — switching units only changed the label, not the number
• Fixed: CarPlay now automatically falls back to Apple Maps if your chosen navigation app can't be reached, instead of doing nothing
• Fixed: VoiceOver could read a garbled, duplicated label for tab bar buttons instead of just the tab name
1.7.6 Sep 12
**CarPlay Gadgets: your CarPlay dashboard**
Configure up to 3 gadgets for your CarPlay display, choosing from: Pitch & Roll Live, Height Grid (ramp height at all four wheels), Wind (speed & direction, color-coded like the main screen), and Weather.
**More improvements**
• Photo gallery: pinch or double-tap to zoom, plus a new share button for the photo you're viewing
• Compass: sunrise, solar-noon, and sunset markers now sit at their real azimuth instead of a fixed East/South/West position
• Siri: deleted tags can now be undone
• CarPlay: voice search now matches location names with umlauts more reliably (e.g. "München" said as "Muenchen"), and allows a slightly longer pause before it stops listening
• Camping info: amenity and opening-hours detection is faster and now covers all 13 app languages
**Minor fixes**
• Fixed: CarPlay guidance audio stayed silent while stationary after toggling Freeze off and on
• Fixed: CarPlay Gadgets appeared incorrectly greyed out
• Fixed: the active ramp profile row could be hidden behind the tab bar
• Fixed: false-positive duplicate detection in the photo gallery
• Fixed: denied camera access showed a blank, non-functional camera screen instead of a clear prompt
• Fixed: the Home Screen Height Grid widget's live countdown could appear off-center
• Fixed: Pitch & Roll could stop updating after the app returned from the background until relaunched
• Fixed: a ramp-profile preset could occasionally fail to apply to all of your vehicles
1.7.5 Sep 10
Save your location directly from CarPlay
When you activate the freeze button in CarPlay, the left button now offers to save your current location, using the same data as saving from the iPhone app (address, tilt, vehicle, active ramp profile). Without an active freeze, the button still shows your Locations list as before.
Minor fixes '
• Fixed: Acoustic alignment guidance in CarPlay stayed silent after turning the freeze button off and back on
• Fixed: Times in Sun Path and Wind Forecast always showed in 24-hour format regardless of the system setting – now respects the iPhone's 12/24-hour preference
• Fixed: The ramp illustration for the right wheels wasn't mirrored correctly in some languages
• Fixed: The iCloud sync privacy notice showed literal asterisks instead of bold text
1.7.4 Aug 21
**Adjustable search radius for place search**
Searching for places (bakeries, workshops, grey/fresh water points, …) now has a radius slider from 5 to 40 km. Your choice is remembered for future searches.
**More reliable camper-service search**
Grey water disposal and fresh water refill searches now run through the app's more resilient Overpass search path, giving steadier results.
**Stronger security for AI-generated content**
Added extra safeguards against manipulated content in AI-generated place summaries and in how the app talks to AI providers.
**Minor fixes**
• Fixed: a rare animation glitch in the Watch connection status indicator
1.7.3 Aug 11
**Solar panel orientation for the next few hours**
The solar panel recommendation in the Sun Path view is now a single slider from "Now" to "+4h" instead of two separate displays. It calculates the orientation that yields the most energy over the selected time window – accounting for the sun being more effective around midday than early morning or late evening.
**Ramp profiles overhauled**
Ramp profiles now use real manufacturer data (including Fiamma, Milenco, Thule, Froli, Camco, ProPlus), selectable via a drill-down list like vehicles, changes save automatically, and the active profile can be picked directly from the leveling view.
**New & corrected vehicle profiles**
Fixed track width and wheelbase for several vehicle profiles (including Grand California, VW California, Fiat Ducato). New: Mercedes Sprinter and Hymer Grand Canyon S.
**iPad: Larger selection windows**
Vehicle and ramp profile pickers now use the available space on iPad properly, instead of appearing in a tiny window.
**Minor fixes**
• Fixed: Ramp profiles sometimes didn't fully load for vehicles that had been manually customized
• Fixed: AI place summaries could occasionally pick up the wrong address when names collided
1.7.2 Aug 6
Live compass for solar panel orientation
The orientation display for your solar panel now turns live with your iPhone – so you instantly see, without guesswork, which direction to actually point your panel.
Solar noon in the Sun Path view
The Sun Path view now also shows solar noon – the time the sun reaches its highest point in the sky – right between sunrise and sunset.
Easier access: • Tap the sunrise/sunset display or any sun icon around your vehicle to open the Sun Path view
More accurate sun position • Fixed: Sun elevation, the sun path curve, the sun icon's compass placement, and the solar panel recommendations could be slightly off depending on time zone – now calculated precisely
1.7.1 Aug 4
• Tags: Organize and filter your saved locations with color-coded tags – with iCloud sync
• Czech language added – Camprio is now available in 13 languages
• Sun path: Tap the sun icon to see elevation & compass direction throughout the day – perfect for planning when your awning or solar panel gets sun
