NEW "FRIENDLY" CHART STYLE - Completely redrawn chart: soft colours, water shaded in blues by depth, sand-coloured land, highlighted shallows and rounded, easy-to-read text. - Modern, realistic icons: cardinal and lateral buoys, beacon towers on their rocks, lighthouses, lights, wrecks, rocks and obstructions. - Light sectors drawn as thick, coloured arcs. - Easier to read when zoomed out: overlapping secondary icons fade away, lights together with their sectors and characteristics; hazards are always shown. - Adjustable icon size (Preferences › Nautical Charts, or the map's Layers panel); the selection halo surrounds the chosen icon. - Choose the style in Preferences › Nautical Charts › Visual style. ECDIS mode is unchanged; spot heights are now shown in brown. CHART CHECKS - Show all my charts: every chart's outline appears on the navigation map with its code, in green (up to date), orange (to check) or red (problem). Click any chart flagged for review to display it with its details. - Double-click a chart to draw its outline in yellow, above all layers, with its check card: edition, latest update, licence and expiry date. - Export list (PDF): your charts with edition, update, licence, expiry date and status, in a document ready to hand to an inspector. NAUTICAL CHARTS WINDOW - Three tabs: My charts, Licences and Help, with a step-by-step guide to get started. Larger window. - A single "Add charts…" button, or drag and drop: zip files, folders, .000 files, updates and PERMIT.TXT licence files, imported automatically when they come with the charts. - Progress with a Stop button and a detailed import report. - Charts grouped by use (harbours, approaches, coastal…), search, show or hide a whole group. - Licence shown for each chart: distributor, expiry date, warning before expiry and a Renew link. - Licences tab: this Mac's identifier (User Permit) ready to copy, licences by distributor and history. - Direct access from the Management menu (⌘⇧K). CHART AND UPDATE IMPORT - Updates checked one by one: a missing update is reported; a chart cancelled by its producer is hidden and reported. - Multi-volume exchange sets and several zip files at once. - A chart replaced by a new edition keeps its name and visibility. - S-63 licences verified for this Mac, expiry dates taken into account, clearer error messages. - Faster, safer import; protected charts are never kept decrypted on disk. SAFETY ALARMS - Click an alert in the banner: the object involved (restricted area, hazard, cable…) is framed and highlighted, and its details open. - Alarms stay active even when a layer is hidden. NAVIGATION MAP - Chart layers stay perfectly aligned with the satellite background while zooming, with no jitter. - Faster opening, smoother and more energy-efficient display. - "Hide" button in an object's details to hide its layer, with Undo. - The selected object stays highlighted, even after zooming or panning. - The boat, AIS targets, routes and your own items stay visible when charts are hidden. New: marine weather on the chart. - Download forecasts for your area: a square around the boat or an area drawn right on the chart. - Choose the model and its grid: AROME down to 1.3 km (France, 48 h), ARPEGE 10 km (Europe, 4 days) or ECMWF 25 km (worldwide, 10 days). - The forecast on screen updates automatically as soon as a new one is published. - Import your own GRIB files (GRIB1 and GRIB2). - Wind, gusts, waves, swell, rain, pressure and current in colour, animated wind and sea, isobars. - Timeline, information bubble on hover and values at the boat's position. - Chart: scale bar in nautical miles, cursor position and position search. Forecasts: Météo-France and ECMWF. They do not replace official marine weather bulletins.

AIS TARGETS ON THE NAVIGATION CHART Vessels fitted with an AIS transponder now appear on the Mac navigation chart. • Vessel name shown beside the symbol as soon as it is received; known names are remembered from one session to the next. • Vessel card one click away, on the symbol or the name: MMSI, call sign, type, status, dimensions, draught, destination and ETA, speed, course, heading, range and bearing — updated live. • Chart bar button to hide or show targets. • Targets fade as their signal ages and disappear after 10 minutes of silence. • Metal rendering built into the charts: hundreds of targets in a crowded anchorage without slowdown. POLYGON ZONES Draw free-form zones alongside circular ones: anchorage, regulated area, fishing perimeter, area to be avoided… • Drawn with the mouse from planning: one click per vertex, a click on the first vertex to close, Esc to cancel. • Edited directly on the chart: drag a vertex or the whole zone. • Same name, description and palette as circular zones; area, perimeter and vertices in the inspector. • Included in backups, exports and iCloud sync. NAVIGATION • Boat tracking: moving the chart by hand (drag or trackpad) turns off auto-centring; the tracking button re-arms it in one click. Zooming keeps tracking on. • AIS sentences received over the NMEA network are now decoded on the Mac (position and static messages, multi-part). New — Machines and maintenance - A Machines tab in the Boat section: main engines and generators, with their full identity (manufacturer, model, serial number, rated power). - Service intervals in hours OR years, whichever comes first, based on the real hour meter from your voyages. - Winter-by-winter planning: every job is placed on the yard period it belongs to, including work already carried out. - Close out a job in a single sheet: hour reading, contractor, invoice, cost — automatically published to the logbook and as an expense. - Per-task panel: documents, invoices and yard photos. - PDF export of the engine logbook: one sheet per machine, due-date table, an eight-winter task matrix and an illustrated chronological history. Much faster iCloud sync - Navigation tracks are now stored in a compact form. On a large history, syncing goes from several hours to a few minutes, and takes up far less room in your iCloud. - Your GPS points are kept exactly as they were: same tracks, same distances, same statistics. Conversion runs automatically on first launch, after a backup is taken. - Recording a voyage now writes in small batches rather than at every point: less disk activity at sea. New — Backups - A Backups pane in Preferences, listing everything available: date, origin, actual contents and size. - A complete snapshot of your data created automatically once a day, with nothing to manage. - Restore an earlier backup directly from the app. - Export an archive with or without attached files, for a lighter file to share. Fixes - Fixed a launch failure when iCloud sync was turned off. - Fixed a crash when opening the History tab. - When importing a backup, the engine logbook appears in the preview and in the summary; Merge mode fills in the missing fields of an existing machine. - Stronger safeguards: data created by a newer version is no longer opened, an automatic backup is taken before any format change, and importing requires an explicit choice between merging and replacing.

NAUTICAL CHARTS: OFFICIAL SYMBOLS AND WIDER COVERAGE ECDIS mode now draws the official symbols from the IHO S-101 portrayal catalogue (the successor to S-52): buoys, beacons, lights, dangers and landmarks look exactly as they do on a professional ECDIS, with the IHO day, dusk and night palettes. - Isolated danger: any obstacle shallower than your safety depth is flagged with the dedicated ECDIS symbol, recomputed whenever you change your safety margin. - Lights: the flare points along the visibility sector; red, green or white according to the light's colour. - Lateral marks: the IALA A or B convention is read from the chart. - Topmarks, mooring and installation buoys, barrel buoys, stakes, daymarks, rescue stations, signal stations, silos, forts, pylons. - Fish farms, dock areas, pontoons, seaplane landing areas. - Land: built-up areas, lakes, rivers, canals, airports and runways, bridges, tunnels, dykes, contour lines and spot heights, place names. - Information panel: translated labels, spot-height elevation, selectable land features. - Layer selector: every new family can be shown or hidden individually. North is now locked at the top of the chart in navigation and planning, guaranteeing perfect alignment between the base map and the nautical layers. Fixes: cardinal mark orientation, fog signal, radar and obstruction categories, sounding quality letters, two-colour buoys.

RECIPES AND SHOPPING LIST Your recipes now feed provisioning: every ingredient is matched to the catalogue, and the shopping list is built from what you actually cook. - A shopping list drawn from your recipes, consolidated by aisle across the whole period, with quantities scaled to each meal's number of covers — pro rata or in whole batches, depending on the recipe. - The catalogue now holds over 440 ingredients: spices, herbs, nuts, flours and spirits each have their own line and price, where they used to be lumped together. - Ingredient matching thoroughly overhauled: a sea bass fillet is no longer charged as beef fillet, a chopped onion as minced beef, or icing sugar as ice cream. - Every recipe line shows which product it is matched to. One click corrects it or creates the missing ingredient — and the correction holds for all your later menus. - Add, replace or remove ingredients line by line, with a return to the original recipe at any time. - Displayed quantities follow the chosen number of covers, and each list states plainly which covers it refers to. Allergens on the new ingredients carry over from those they came from. The summary remains an aid to vigilance, derived from the named ingredients: it does not replace reading the labels.

NEW: PROVISIONING A charter's Menu tab now comes with a full provisioning module. Write your menus as you always have — ModulSea works out the rest. - Meal cost estimates derived from the text of your courses, scaled to the number of covers. - A catalogue of over 300 ingredients with reference prices and quantities, adjustable to your own suppliers. - Allergens and dietary requirements flagged on every meal, with your table's constraints declared once for the whole charter. - A shopping list consolidated across the entire trip. - PDF exports: guest menu, budget estimate, shopping list and service sheet. The allergen summary is an aid to vigilance, derived from the named ingredients. It does not replace reading the labels. NEW: DISHES & RECIPES Every dish in the bank now carries its own recipe, and the dish library has become a manager you can make your own. - 335 recipes in four languages: ingredients for four covers, numbered steps, prep and cooking times, and a chef's tip. - Open a recipe from the dish library, from any course of a meal sheet, or from the new Dishes & recipes entry in the settings menu. - Edit any recipe to suit your galley. Your version is flagged as modified, and the original is one click away. - Write recipes for your own dishes, from the library or straight from a meal sheet. - The chef's notebook: leave a note on a recipe and rate it out of five once you have cooked and tasted it. Ratings show in the library, so your safe bets stand out. - Start typing a dish in a course and matching dishes appear below the field — click one to insert it. - Filter the library down to the dishes you created. - Export any recipe as an A4 PDF, ready to print for the galley. Recipes are a starting point drawn from the classic repertoire: times and quantities are worth adapting to your galley and your suppliers. Allergens shown on a recipe come from the dish bank, not from the recipe text. NEW: BUILT-IN PORTS Over 500 Mediterranean and Adriatic ports now ship with the app, along with the distances between them. A new boat starts out with its cruising ground already in place. - Ports included out of the box: Greece, Italy, Croatia, Türkiye, France, Spain, Albania, Montenegro, Malta and Tunisia. - Your own ports are never replaced or duplicated. Your notes, your rates and your distances stay untouched — only empty fields are filled in. - Port, region and country names shown in the app's language. - Search works across all four languages: a port is found whichever name you look for it under. - Port list grouped by country, with the region shown next to the name to tell apart ports that share one. Various fixes and stability improvements.

Generators: set how many generators your boat has, and how many were actually running — for each recorded trip and for each planned charter day. Two units instead of one now double the consumption automatically. Fuel consumption always combines main engines and generators, using the same rule in Management/Fuel, in the charter's Navigation tab and in every export. Maximum speed added to the boat details, used as the reference for discarding erroneous GPS positions. A wrong GPS fix used to be counted on the way out and on the way back, inflating a trip by hundreds of miles. Such positions are now rejected as they are recorded. Already recorded a bad trip? Open it from the history: ModulSea detects the faulty points, shows the corrected distance and removes them in one click. New PDF export from a charter's Navigation tab: a full navigation detail table with date, trip, departure and arrival times, engine hours in minutes and decimals, litres, generator hours per unit, and totals. Add a fuel price to get engine, generator and grand total costs. Editing a trip's distance, time or fuel in the history now updates the charter's Navigation tab immediately. Navigation times are based on actual movement, so stops at anchor no longer inflate engine hours. The yearly navigation PDF now reflects the distances, times and fuel figures you edited yourself. The redundant "Name" column was removed from the yearly PDF; the route column now shows the full trip. Backups now include your generator settings, your boat's maximum speed and the generator hours entered on charter days — which were previously not saved. Various fixes and stability improvements.

Fuel tracking now reflects what really happens on board. Generators: set how many generators are installed on your boat, and choose how many were running for each recorded trip.
