Long-press any date to quickly add a trip. Trip History: Jump to Today A floating button appears when you scroll far from today in Trip History — tap it to jump straight to your nearest trip. Future trips can now be automatically filtered out when navigating from the Dashboard with "exclude future trips" enabled. Browse month by month to see colour-coded trip bars spanning your stay dates, with smart overlap handling for concurrent trips. Tap any day to jump to trip details, or long-press to create a new trip with the date pre-filled. Monthly summaries show trip counts, total nights, and quick access to each destination. Fuel Price Widgets - Australia Only Three new Home Screen widgets — Small, Medium, and Large — show real-time fuel prices near you or a saved location. Configure your preferred fuel types (U91, U95, Diesel, LPG, and more), see colour-coded price rankings at a glance, and spot the cheapest station nearby. Widgets refresh automatically and cache data for reliable display even when offline. Nearby Places Overhaul The Nearby Places feature has been rebuilt with a cleaner card layout, an interactive map view, and richer detail sheets. Fuel stations now show colour-ranked prices inline. What’s New Trip History just got a whole lot smarter (and a bit more weather-obsessed). New Between-Trip Weather summaries now appear in Trip History, showing what the conditions were like at your destination until you moved on — min/max temperature, total rainfall, max wind + gust, plus humidity and pressure. All based on the earlier trip’s location and your unit settings. Only counts while you’re travelling: Between-Trip Weather isn’t saved for time spent at Home — it’s just for those stretches when you’re out and about. Shows up automatically once you add the next trip leg after your current location. Want the details? Tap a weather chip to see the exact date and time the min/max readings happened. Works nicely behind the scenes: summaries are cached, sync across devices, include a location chip, come with improved accessibility, and can be refreshed any time using the centered “Refresh” chip. Weather editing is now on your terms Editing past trips no longer silently refreshes weather or unexpectedly flips “Actual” to “Estimated.” Past trips now have a dedicated Refresh button — weather only updates if you explicitly choose to refresh and then save. Dashboard towing stats, with the detail you actually want Added a new Towing and Vehicle Trip Breakdown on the Dashboard Towing card, showing trips and kilometres by vehicle, by towing item, and by vehicle + towing combination. Smarter stats at a glance The Dashboard now gives you better insight into your time on (and off) the road. • Days since last trip shows how long it’s been since you last returned home, including the exact return date, always calculated across your full trip history. • Longest break between trips highlights the biggest gap between trips for any timeframe you select. Both stats can also be included in Standard and Compact Share Posters, so your travel story stays complete when you share it. Vehicles and towing, finally tracked properly You can now add the vehicles you travel with and the things you tow. Cars, caravans, camper trailers, boats, jet skis — if it comes along for the journey, Trip Tally can keep track of it. Save multiple vehicles and towing items like caravans or trailers, and set defaults in Settings to make trip entry faster. Cleaner, smarter trip logging When adding a trip, simply select the vehicle you used and, if you were towing, choose exactly what came along. Not towing? Trip Tally keeps things neat and out of the way. Bulk editing, done right Editing multiple trips at once is now more flexible. Choose whether to overwrite existing details or only fill in what’s missing. Powerful when you need it, safe when you don’t. Archive, don’t erase Sold the van or retired a vehicle? Archive it instead. Archived vehicles stay attached to past trips for memories and stats, but won’t appear in future trip selections. You can unarchive them anytime. Everything stays in sync All vehicle and towing details sync across devices, work seamlessly with import and export, and won’t disturb your existing trips. Backup & Restore, now with superpowers You can now back up just your trips, just your app settings/vehicles/towing items, or everything in one neat file. What’s New in Trip Tally v1.4.2 Improvements • Share Poster redesign Completely redeveloped the Share Poster workflow and image rendering to improve visual quality, layout consistency, and overall presentation when sharing trips. Fixes • Unique Destination count consistency (Towing view) Fixed an issue where Home was included in the Unique Destination count chip but excluded from the popup list. Home is now consistently excluded from Unique Destination counts. • By Type summary – Home destination Resolved a bug where the Home destination type displayed a count, but selecting the chip showed an empty list. Trip Tally v1.3 – Changelog Fixes • Resolved iCloud Sync setup error Fixed an issue where enabling iCloud Sync on a fresh install (especially on a new device) could cause an error. Syncing should now activate smoothly the first time. • Correct weather refresh behaviour When refreshing weather for older trips, the app sometimes used forecast data instead of the actual current conditions. This has been corrected so refreshed weather accurately reflects real-time data.
