Get organised with Nyblit, the task manager built for real-world productivity.
Most to-do apps treat tasks as either “done” or “not done”. But real work is rarely that simple.
A task might be waiting for a client reply. Blocked by a colleague. Paused until tomorrow. In progress, but not actionable right now. When all of those tasks sit in one long list, they create clutter, pressure and mental overload.
Nyblit is different.
Nyblit began more than 20 years ago as a FileMaker database shared between a small group of friends. It was built around a simple observation: at any given time, more than half of the tasks on your list cannot actually be acted on. You may be waiting for a reply, blocked by someone else or delaying something until later.
By moving those tasks out of your immediate view (while continuing to track them safely) your workload becomes clearer, calmer and far more achievable.
Nyblit uses ‘state-based’ task management to show you what needs your attention now, while keeping everything else safely organised and out of the way.
A simple phone call might move through states like these:
• TODAY: Ready to make the call. • BLOCKED: You left a voicemail and are waiting for a callback. • LATER: The line was busy, so Nyblit reminds you to try again in 10 minutes. • DONE: The call is complete.
Nyblit lets you create custom workflows so it understands what kind of task you are doing. Tap “Left Voicemail” and the task moves to BLOCKED. Tap “Call Later” and Nyblit offers a timer and alert.
A workflow can represent anything you do regularly, from writing an email to restoring a car. Each one can include its own statuses, delays, subtasks and time estimstes.
So, instead of staring at a cluttered list of half-actionable tasks, you can see what is active, which stage each task has reached, what is blocked and what is paused.
SHARED TASKS
Nyblit lets you share tasks and projects, making it easier to collaborate with teams, clients and family.
GMAIL INSIDE YOUR TASKS (Beta)
Your tasks and your communication are finally together. Email threads can live directly inside the task they relate to.
PROGRESS YOU CAN SEE
Daily activity stats and task progress rings, give you a simple visual sense of progress.
ADHD Friendly
Nyblit was created by a developer with ADHD. Sometimes the problem is not that you have too much to do. It is that too many things are sitting in front of you when they are not actually actionable. Nyblit brings clarity to your day.
POWERFUL & FLEXIBLE
Organise tasks into projects. Delay tasks with smart timers. Sync deadlines with Apple Calendar. Add rich notes with text and links. Everything syncs securely via iCloud.
WORKS WITH reMARKABLE
Nyblit can automatically export a beautifully rendered daily page to your reMarkable e-ink tablet every morning. Your Today tasks are presented clearly with checkboxes, ready to tick off with your pen. At the end of the day, Nyblit can recognise which tasks you completed and update your Today view automatically.

From a Liquid Glass interface that’s genuinely one of the best-looking interfaces I have seen yet, to intuitive and seamless gestures that make creating and sorting tasks second nature, Nyblit makes the hassle of getting things done a thing of the past. One of the most impressive ways Nyblit helps you manage your tasks is through a fun-to-use Status Wheel that lets you easily switch between “Not Started”, “In Progress”, “Later”, “Blocked”, and “Done” tasks by simply holding on the three dots next to a task and dragging over to whichever Status Type you would like to give your task. It’s such a fun addition that you might even want to create tasks just to use it!There’s also plenty of other features, such as Category Types, where you can designate a Category for any one of your tasks, and you can even add Custom Status Types for these Custom Categories, such as a “Blocked” Custom Status labeled “Awaiting reply”, for when you’re waiting on a message back from someone. And to top off these amazing features, and the many more available in-app, Nyblit respects your privacy, so your tasks are only available to you. Nyblit truly is a well thought out, brilliantly executed, Task Management app that not only makes it a breeze to get things done, but also makes you actually want to get things done.Learn to Nyblit and you just might love to get things done!I am excited to see what you add and adjust in future updates! :)

Thank you for this incredible review! That it reads like professional marketing copy actually makes me worried people will think I wrote it...Everyone: I did not write this. Please believe me. This person is just really, really passionate about Nyblit.Thank you, you're awesome.
A refreshing take on task managers
A Guy on the edge
In my work, tasks are never binary. As a PM, my list is usually a collection of items stuck in discovery, development, waiting for QA, or blocked by waiting for feedback or approval. Traditional apps treat these as 'Not Done,' which creates massive cognitive load and obscures what I can work on today or right now.Nyblit is the first tool that actually mirrors a real-world workflow. The ability to move a task to a 'Blocked' state—where it's hidden from my immediate 'In Progress' view but still tracked—is a game changer. I can set custom statuses like ‘Approval Pending' or 'UAT' that automatically categorizes the task's state. It also syncs across all of my devices—perfect when an idea strikes and I’m not in front of my laptop. If you're tired of 'Not Done' lists that don't reflect the reality of your work, you need this app.

Built with a watchmaker’s attention to detail
occasional downloader
I’ve been pleasantly surprised by Nyblit, and have found it superior to other to-do apps I’ve used. The developer is also a professional watchmaker, and it shows in the thoughtful design and attention to detail. Highly recommended, especially if you have ADHD or haven’t been satisfied with other task management apps. It’s also a bargain, with a reasonable one-time payment, and no subscription.
Intuitive and functional, but needs notification fixes
RainyTales
Well thought out with a truly minimalist design. The Progressive States feature is definitely the USP of this app and makes tracking tasks feel much more intuitive.I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 because notifications are currently not working, which is a core need for a productivity tool. Additionally, a great "nice-to-have" would be the ability to customize the icons for each state to allow for better personalization.Once the notification bug is squashed, this is easily a 5-star app!
Developer Response
Hi and thanks for the review. Notifications are working. We have not had any other reports of this issue. I have personally checked on all our notifications and they are working perfectly. This may be related to the notification settings on your device. If you could please reach out via the app with details about the exact issue you’re having we’d be happy to provide some support. Many thanks!
We’re excited to introduce a new feature for reMarkable E-Ink tablets.
Nyblit can now automatically export a beautifully rendered daily page to your reMarkable every morning. Your Today tasks are presented clearly with checkboxes, ready to tick off with your pen. At the end of the day, Nyblit can recognise which tasks you completed and update your Today view automatically.
Find the new reMarkable integration in Nyblit Labs in Settings.
We’re also introducing our new **Chips** system. Attach files, photos, contacts and calendar events directly to your tasks using Chips. You can even jump straight into online meetings from calendar events attached to a task.
There’s a brand-new tutorial to show you how Chips work.
We’ve also fixed dozens of bugs reported by our growing community on Discord and Reddit, and responded to several feature requests:
• Import Apple Reminders directly into Nyblit.
• Edit subtasks directly from the Not Started tab.
Also new in version 2 of Nyblit:
• Shared Tasks & Projects
You can now share tasks and projects with other Nyblit users, making it easier to collaborate with teams, clients, family members or anyone else you work with.
• Daily Activity Stats

New visual progress rings help you see task and project progress at a glance.
