Plan smarter trips with weather forecasts along your route. See conditions at every point of your journey and choose the best time to depart. Plan your road trips with confidence! DriveCast is a beautifully designed trip planner that provides detailed weather forecasts along your entire driving route, helping you stay ahead of the weather and travel safely. KEY FEATURES: Route-Based Forecasts: See how weather conditions will change throughout your journey. The app divides your route into time-based segments with granular weather forecasts for each part of the drive. Trip Safety Score: Get an at-a-glance rating for your overall trip conditions (Good Conditions, Use Caution, Poor Conditions) to make informed decisions. Detailed Weather Alerts: Receive specific warnings for potential hazards, including temperature extremes, high precipitation probability, poor visibility, and high wind speeds. Immersive Weather Animations: Experience a sophisticated animation system inspired by Apple Weather. Your weather timeline comes to life with beautiful, 60fps animations for sunny, cloudy, rainy, snowy, stormy, and foggy conditions. watchOS Companion App: Access your trip list, route details, and weather timeline directly on your wrist with the included watchOS app. Seamless iCloud Sync: Automatically sync all your saved trips, routes, weather data, and app settings across all your iOS devices using CoreData with CloudKit and iCloud Key-Value Store. Background Monitoring: DriveCast automatically monitors your saved trips in the background and can send pre-departure notifications three hours before you leave, alerting you to any significant weather changes. PLAN SMARTER, DRIVE SAFER DriveCast analyzes multiple weather factors to calculate a comprehensive trip score. You can see detailed information on road conditions (Dry, Wet, Slippery, Icy, Snow) and visibility levels (Excellent, Good, Moderate, Poor, Dangerous), allowing you to anticipate challenges before you even leave. For past trips, the app conveniently displays the last fetched weather data, so you always have a record of the conditions. YOUR TRIPS, EVERYWHERE With the included watchOS companion app, your trip data is always accessible. It uses a dual-sync strategy, combining real-time WatchConnectivity updates with a shared App Groups container as a fallback, ensuring your data is available even if your iPhone is offline. BEAUTIFUL & INTUITIVE The app features a modern and minimalistic design with a clean, card-based interface and consistent layouts. All user interface elements, weather conditions, warnings, and settings are fully localized into 20 languages, making DriveCast a truly global travel companion. Supported Languages: English, Turkish, Chinese (Simplified), Spanish, Hindi, Arabic, French, Russian, Portuguese, Indonesian, German, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Italian, Tamil, Urdu, Polish, Dutch, and Swahili. Really useful for long trips

The app works well and doesn’t require a paid version for functionality other apps required a subscription for (future travel and alternate times). Great for winter travel especially. Highly recommend.

Need mph added to wind speed

Ron1258
The only measurement you have for wind speed is M/S whereas I like miles per hour

Developer Response
Hi Ron, thanks for the feedback — you were right, and this is fixed! Update 1.0.4 shows wind speed in mph when your distance unit is set to miles (and km/h for kilometers), everywhere in the app including weather warnings and the Apple Watch app. Just make sure Miles is selected in Settings → Distance Unit. We'd love to hear if the update works well for you!
