New in 1.9.9 Notifications • The notification icon displays correctly instead of a white square. • New requests now appear in your in-app notifications. • Muting your own notifications no longer stops the other person receiving theirs. • Four notification types that previously had no settings can now be turned on and off. Phone numbers • Australian numbers, including landlines, now work correctly. Some numbers previously prevented sign-up entirely. • International numbers are no longer misread as US numbers. Photos • Item photos are now private to you and the person you're lending to or borrowing from. • A photo that can't load now explains why instead of showing an empty grey box. Other fixes • Custom categories now show their name instead of an internal ID. • Subscription prices always come from the App Store, so the price shown always matches what you'll be charged. • Corrected due-date time zones, item counts, currency rounding and seasonal labels for the southern hemisphere. • Fixed a number of issues where a fix had been applied to lending but not borrowing, or the reverse. • General performance and stability improvements.

Fixes and improvements throughout the app: • Fixed a crash that could close the app when opening Active Loans or Active Borrows. • Due dates no longer shift by a day depending on your time zone -- the date you pick is the date that's saved. • Overdue items now show the same status everywhere. Previously a card could show "Overdue" and "Active" at the same time. • Tapping a reminder now opens the right item instead of dropping you on the home screen. • "Mark as Returned" no longer gets stuck if the save fails. • Custom categories now sync to your account, so they follow you to a new phone instead of disappearing. • You can now add or update your phone number in Settings. • Pending requests show the correct due date and clearly say who made the request. • Editing an item now lets you clear its value, and the date picker's Cancel button properly cancels. • If a photo fails to upload, you're told -- instead of the item saving silently without it. • More accurate analytics: lending and borrowing figures, monthly trends and contact statistics were mislabelled or miscounted. • Data export now labels loans and borrows correctly and handles item names containing quotes. • Better support for tablets, foldables and landscape. • Improved layout on Android so buttons are no longer hidden behind the system navigation bar.

Boomerang now includes ads on the free tier to keep the app free for everyone. The free tier limit is now 20 active items (up from 5). We've also redesigned the app icon, polished the rating screen, made it easier to invite friends to track items together, and lastly updated the name of the app.
