News has become overwhelming.
Thousands of stories appear every hour across countries, languages, publications and official sources. Traditional feeds keep you scrolling and searching without knowing whether you found what truly matters.
MEET MERA NEWS
A transparent AI-curated app that monitors the world for you.
Tell Mera about your profession, location, interests, companies, markets, policies, travel plans or anything else affecting your life. It analyses global news and ranks relevant stories by their potential impact, helping you stay informed without living inside a feed.

PRIVACY AND SAFETY
Personalised news should not require personal surveillance.
The app understands what matters to you without creating a centralised record of your personal life or reading habits.
• Your news profile and private reading history stay on your device, not on Mera’s servers
• Because Mera does not possess this information, it cannot use it to train AI models or sell it to advertisers and data brokers
• Personal relevance is evaluated on-device or through privacy-preserving systems
• Verify Trusted Execution Environment attestation inside the app to confirm that privacy safeguards are active
• Providing an email address is optional
• Protect the app with an optional PIN
• AI-generated notes are always clearly identified
• The assistant identifies itself as AI, not a person
• Built-in safeguards help prevent manipulation or misuse
SUPPORTING ORIGINAL JOURNALISM
Journalism requires time, expertise and funding, yet AI summaries and technology platforms can capture its value without adequately compensating its creators.
Mera helps you discover journalism rather than replace it. It explains why a story may matter, then sends you to the original publisher for the complete reporting, context and attribution.
Support the publications you value by visiting their websites, viewing their advertising, subscribing, becoming a member or contributing directly. Publisher advertising, registration, cookie and paywall policies are respected.

Starter is now free
Chat and every AI tool now work on the free Starter plan, with no trial and no locked screens. Ask Mera "what plan am I on?" and it gives you a straight answer.
Share and export
• Share your reading stats as a card, from Sources or the Dashboard's History.
• Export your saved articles as Markdown or JSON with a new three-step export flow.
• Subscribe to a publisher directly from your Sources lists or a publication's history.
A smarter Mera chat
• Web search is on by default across every AI surface, and you can see a running search in the chat.
• When Mera suggests saving something about you, it shows the fact first so you can confirm it, keep both, replace the old one or remove it. You can save several facts at once with "Save all".
• Places are resolved more precisely, including where you're from and where you live now, if you've moved abroad.
• A clearer waiting indicator shows what Mera is doing while it works, and replies start sooner.
• On-device AI has new, faster models and shows a speed readout. Model downloads can be cancelled without an error.
Feed and Dashboard
• New animated Mera mark and status panel that show when your feed is being prepared.
• The feed no longer reshuffles while you're reading when you change a preference.
• A single notification bell in every tab. Notifications now stack as a deck with an easy Undo.
• Swipe between Dashboard and Explore tabs more smoothly. Empty sections are hidden.
• Related coverage loads 10 articles at a time, and articles from stories you follow stay on your device.
• Google Translate now appears above the original text in article detail.
• Cards open only when you tap them, not when you let go of a sideways swipe.
Accounts
• Users who signed up with email can now sign in without it.
• Switching accounts now fully clears the previous account's data.
• Backup restore has moved to Settings.
• App updates now install silently, with no pop-ups.
Accessibility
• A large VoiceOver pass: every button has a clear label and a 44pt touch target, and decorative icons are no longer read aloud.
Fixes
• Fixed a black screen on launch and a restart that could interrupt chats, purchases or model downloads.
• Fixed a PIN issue that could ask some users to sign in again.
• Many smaller layout, translation and stability fixes.
