Live Lyrics, rebuilt from the ground up. Better timing, a better look, and translations for every song. LIVE LYRICS, REBUILT We completely redid the Live Lyrics display to be smoother and faster on iPhone and Apple TV. Lyrics now follow the singer through every line, every pause and every outro, so you're always right where the song is. WORDS THAT GLOW Each word lights up with a soft glow as it's sung, while backing vocals appear softer, so lead and backing vocals are easy to tell apart. TRANSLATIONS AND PRONUNCIATIONS Understand every song, in any language. See translations and pronunciations right alongside the lyrics on iPhone and Apple TV. Translations are done on your device. PERFECT YOUR TIMING If the lyrics are a little off, Needl can listen to the room and suggest a better timing offset. When you're signed in, you can also share a timing correction for a track. LYRICS ON YOUR LOCK SCREEN See the current lyric line right on your Lock Screen and in StandBy. As always, enjoy your collection and keep spinning!

MADE FOR IPAD AND IPHONE DUO Listen, For You, New Releases and Buying Options now fit iPad and iPhone Duo beautifully. Controls stay clear of the fold, grids line up across the hinge, and Needl remembers where you were when you open and close your Duo. IMPROVEMENTS Fixed an issue that kept Last.fm from connecting Design polish across the app Lots of under-the-hood improvements As always, enjoy your collection and keep spinning!

It all works. PLAYLISTS FOR APPLE MUSIC AND SPOTIFY Your shelf can now go wherever you go. Pick records you own, or records you want, and Needl builds a playlist for you. BUILT FOR IPHONE DUO This update brings full support for iPhone Duo, with an all-new design made from the ground up for Apple's first foldable iPhone. Needl now speaks 15 languages, from Czech to Korean. Your collection, in your language

Turntable Mode, fine-tuned. Needl now knows the difference between a quiet passage, a finished side, and a room full of people talking. TURNTABLE MODE "Time to flip" now waits until the record has actually stopped — not during a quiet passage or a long song. Needl can tell a record from conversation, laughter, or the TV. A side that ends in a busy room still gets "Time to flip," and a record Needl can't identify is no longer mistaken for silence. Your cover rotation won't take over while music is still playing. The disc on screen now matches the album you're actually playing, not another record by the same artist. Don't own it? You'll see a plain disc with the right album name. The lyrics button now hides with the rest of the controls, and closing lyrics no longer leaves controls stuck on screen. NOW SPINNING Swiping between faces now stops at the first and last instead of looping around. Drag across the page dots to jump straight to any face. Faces slide in from the direction you swipe, even with lyrics showing. SHARING A SESSION Review & Share now appears just once, and only on the device you listened on. Close the sheet to skip sharing. If you've added a rating, caption, or photo, Needl checks before discarding it. REMINDERS "Flip the record?" no longer interrupts long songs. Keep spinning!

Ask AI got smarter. Listen just got a turntable mode — turn any spare device into a dedicated companion that lives right next to your setup. TURNTABLE MODE Give an old iPhone or iPad a permanent home next to your turntable. Between records, it shows off your collection's covers on an ambient display that never sleeps. Drop the needle and Now Playing appears automatically — no unlocking, no tapping. Needl even nudges you with a "time to flip" prompt as a side winds down. Turn it on always, or just while the device is charging, in Settings > Turntable Mode. RECEPTION & AWARDS See how an album actually landed — right on the album page. Discogs community ratings, Pitchfork scores, and the accolades that matter: Grammys, Apple Music's 100 Best Albums, Rolling Stone's greatest-albums lists, and more. Tap any card to dig in. Ask AI knows all of this now too — ask how an album was received, or what it won, and it'll actually answer. ALL THE ARTWORK Every piece of artwork Discogs has for an album, right there on the album page — covers, gatefolds, inserts, all of it. Tap to browse, press and hold to set any image as your cover, gatefold, or insert. The easiest way yet to fill out your record's look, down to the 3D view. MATCH YOUR VINYL, EXACTLY Customizing your disc? Sample a photo of your actual record and Needl pulls the exact color straight from it, so the disc you see in the app matches the one on your shelf. RATE YOUR RECORDS Albums in your collection and your wishlist can now be rated — right from the album page. AND EVERYWHERE ELSE Design polish across album detail, profile, and social Performance improvements — things feel faster across the board Fixed paywall issues A pile of other bug fixes Keep spinning!

Adding support for Siri AI in iOS 27. Point your camera at a sleeve. Drop the needle and watch your turntable come alive — on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. JUST ASK SIRI Siri now knows your collection and what's on your screen. Open an album, artist, or wishlist item and ask about it — or ask from anywhere, without opening the app. "Do I own anything by Drake in Needl?" — Yes, five albums: Scorpion, Take Care, Views… "Show me my wishlist in Needl" "Tell me about this album" "Add this to my wishlist" "What's my collection worth?" Ask in Siri, the Siri app, or Spotlight. It works outside Needl too — point your camera at a record in a shop, or screenshot an album elsewhere, and ask Siri to find it. SCAN A COVER Point your camera at the front of a sleeve and Needl reads it — no barcode, no typing. Switch to Barcode mode and it reads the back on its own. LIVE LYRICS Lyrics light up as they're sung, synced to the record on your turntable — not a stream. Runs early or late? Nudge the timing once and Needl remembers it. NOW LISTENING: NINE VISUALIZERS Put a record on and Needl listens to the room, then the screen comes alive — nine full-screen visualizers that move to the bass, the beat, the key, the moment a chorus lands. A vintage VU meter. A CRT oscilloscope. A lava lamp that rises on the downbeat. Grooves in false color. A 1960s liquid light show, with your sleeve as the slide. Choose your palette, five kinds of wax, LED colors, phosphor tints — or let any visualizer pull its colors straight from the album cover. ON THE BIG SCREEN Apple TV gets six visualizers as full-screen themes, the same color options, and Live Lyrics. Start listening on iPhone and the TV follows along — words, beat, artwork, from across the room. GENIUS, BUILT IN Albums with a Genius entry bring their story: the write-up, full credits down to the session players, and the records that sampled, covered, or interpolated this one. DOCUMENT THE WHOLE PACKAGE Not just the front cover. Tell Needl if your copy is standard, gatefold, tri-fold, or a box set, then fill every slot — back cover, panels, disc labels, inserts — with images from Needl, Apple Music, Genius, Discogs, or your own photos. ASK AI GOT SMARTER Ask AI now knows pressings, market prices, and similar artists, and pulls real facts before answering. Snap a photo in the composer — a sleeve, a runout groove, a price tag — and ask about what's in it. YOUR RECORDS, PROPERLY RENDERED The record you design in Customize is the record you see everywhere — spinning while you listen, on album pages, on Apple TV: splatter, marble, galaxy, picture discs, down to the center label and speed markings. AND EVERYWHERE ELSE Record stores open on a full-screen map you can pan and zoom Pinch to zoom your Library and Wishlist grids Hundreds of design refinements, polish, and bug fixes throughout Some features require iOS 27, iPadOS 27, or tvOS 27. Some features need Apple Intelligence. Keep spinning!
