1.8.3 Jun 14
New lock screen widget
Optimized Apple Watch offline experience: Fixed an issue where quitting the app while offline would temporarily show an old progress for “Today’s Time Invested”. (Display issue only; data was saved correctly and will return to normal after syncing near your iPhone.)
Fixed a delay issue where the home screen widget required opening the app to refresh data when crossing weeks or months.
Fixed an issue where the widget’s “First Day of Week” setting was not taking effect.
1.8.2 May 31
- Fixed an issue where the focus streak was not properly reset when completing a timer early or abandoning a session.
- Fixed an issue where the list position was lost after deleting or editing a focus record.
- Optimized the calculation method for “Time Invested” and “Agreements” to reduce performance overhead.
- Optimized the color selection experience.
1.8.1 May 22
Watch app is here — focus anytime, anywhere.
Real‑time display now supported.
Added author’s contact info in Preferences.
Improved stability and fixed bugs.
1.8.0 May 7
A hidden "performance assassin" was discovered, causing the timer to consume extra power during operation. Optimizations have been implemented, resulting in significant improvements.
iOS: CPU usage during timer operation has been reduced to near 0%.
Mac: Only about 70MB of memory remains resident during timer operation, with CPU usage as low as 1-2%. You can leave it running in the top right corner of the menu bar without any worries.
Every moment of your focus deserves to be carefully nurtured. Thank you for your support, and happy focusing!
1.7.2 Apr 30
The Mac version is here! Built on a native framework, it offers a silky smooth experience and supports displaying the timer status in the menu bar.
Widgets are now supported. Five widgets are available for now. Let me know if you need more!
Added a long/short break status display for the timer, along with support for settings like the long break trigger interval.
Optimized the timer tick trigger, making it more robust.
Fixed a crash on launch for iOS versions below 17.4. It was a low-level bug in SwiftData when it first came out. In the future, pre-release testing will cover more system versions.
Fixed an issue where retroactively logging time entries would trigger multiple calculations of total project time. This had no immediate impact, but as data grows over the years, it could cause stuttering and frame drops.
1.70 Apr 27
Refactored the underlying data engine, significantly optimizing app launch speed and iCloud synchronization performance.
1.6.3 Apr 18
Recent updates:
Optimized the underlying architecture and upgraded the Plan chart rendering and iCloud multi-device sync logic, significantly reducing memory and storage usage.
Fixed an issue where the Plan panel could not be hidden, and resolved a bug where the timer's Keep Screen On feature could not be turned off.
1.6.2 Apr 13
Fixed an issue where the "Save" button was not displayed when editing a wish.
1.6.1 Apr 3
Hi, Happy April! iToday has a new update:
Added Dark Mode support.
App icon perfectly adapted to the latest iOS 26.
Refactored the underlying data engine, making every record and sync lighter and smoother.
Finally, wishing you an April full of vitality and good luck.
P.S. I've been working hard on the Mac version recently. If all goes well, we'll meet on the desktop in the next update!
1.6.0 Apr 3
Hi, so glad to meet you this spring.
Over the past while, I've done an "internal refactoring" for iToday. This time, I hope to make everything smoother, more immersive, and more attuned to you.
Independent time memory: No more global default times. Now, iToday remembers your most-used time for each "moment"—like 25 minutes for "Reading" and 10 minutes for "Stretching".
Rebuilt timer: Completely rewrote the underlying code of the timer page. State changes now have delicate transition animations, and buttons and times will no longer jitter. Also optimized for iPad and landscape modes.
Adaptive progress bar: Rewrote the calculation logic for the commitment progress bar, making value displays much more flexible.
More intuitive Wishing Pool: Moved "Achieved Wishes" out of the deep menus to display them right up front. Seeing your focused time turn into real rewards brings a stronger sense of accomplishment.
A little surprise: Prepared a "confetti" animation for every time you complete a focus commitment.
Data review upgrade: In the Time Puzzle, clicking the pie chart, legend, or bar chart now triggers a linked response. Added loading animations and upgraded the time-period summary into a more intuitive "stacked bar chart".
Restrained vibrations: Vibrating everywhere means no vibration at all. Removed the overly frequent haptic feedback; now you'll only get hints during key operations (fully respecting your system's vibration settings).
Freeing up the bottom bar: Considering "Settings" is a low-frequency operation, I moved it to the "..." menu on the right side of the home page.
iCloud Sync: "Rest Duration" and "Week Start Time" now support iCloud sync.
May these tiny changes bring you a purer flow of focus. Wishing you a wonderful mood today.
1.5.0 Mar 18
Hi, long time no see.
I took a short break in February for the Spring Festival. During this time, I prepared a "gentle upgrade" for iToday. We removed the cold, corporate vibe. Now, it feels much more like a quiet time journal keeping you company.
Total Refresh of Visuals and Tone
We made a bold restructure of the overall style and copy. It has transformed into gentle colors and delicate whitespace, hoping to give you a sense of breathing room.
Morning Dew Wishing Well (formerly Gem Shop)
We removed the hardcore diamond icon and replaced it with a gentle water drop—"Morning Dew." Save your focused time drop by drop and redeem it for your wishes.
Review & Time Mosaic (formerly Statistics)
In pursuit of ultimate smoothness, I completely refactored the underlying ring chart code, switched to the latest native components, and optimized data calculation.
In the new year, I wish you all the best and a life of unhurried grace.
1.4.0 Mar 4
Long time no see! iToday is back with a small update. We’ve spent most of our time this month working on things "under the hood":
Strengthening the Foundation: We’ve refined the core logic for records and plans. You might not see the change, but this refactoring makes your data much more stable and squashes those mysterious tiny bugs.
Smoother Syncing: We’ve fixed some hiccups with iCloud sync. The de-duplication is now smarter, making the experience across multiple devices much smoother.
Taming the Time Zone Glitch: Fixed a bug where daily plans would disappear before 8 AM due to time zone issues. They’ll stay put now!
Flexible Input: We added "Quick Input" for plans and wishes. Type numbers directly for big entries, or use the plus/minus buttons (steppers) for small adjustments.
Home Screen Tweak: Slightly adjusted how plans are displayed on the home screen to make it easier on the eyes.

The repair plan shows problems.
1.2.2 12/26/2025
The issue of the repair plan not displaying
1.2.1 12/24/2025
1.2.0 Making the App smoother to use with these optimizations:
1. Say Goodbye to Lag Previously, opening the list with over 10,000 records caused a slight delay. We rewrote the underlying loading logic. Now, no matter how many records you have, it opens instantly.
2. Better Touch Control Optimized gesture recognition when selecting icons. Previously, it was easy to accidentally tap while scrolling. Now the distinction is clear—scrolling is scrolling, tapping is tapping. It just feels better.
3. Fixes & Polish
Calculation Fix: Fixed an issue where the duration would change from 25 minutes to 24 minutes after adjusting the date.
Style Update: Fixed display issues with the archive popup on the latest iOS.
UI Facelift: Made some "micro-tweaks" to the interface for a cleaner, fresher look.
Note for iPad Users: To resolve a potential crash issue, we have temporarily reverted the iPad home screen to a single-column layout. Stability comes first. We will explore a better dual-column solution in future updates.
