Spinach rates the food and grades how easy it is to eat vegan, from fully vegan spots to the pizza place down the street.
Start with your city
Vegan Top Picks ranks your city's places from vegan reviews, and each pick says why it made the list. "What your city does best" names the top places for each dish. Lists for the occasion cover dates, groups, families and budget eats, and more lists cover breakfast, coffee and something sweet. Open any Top Picks list on its own map.
Two scores
The food rating comes from how reviewers rate the vegan food. The A to E grade shows how easy it is to eat vegan there: the options, how clearly the menu marks them and what the staff know. A five-star place can still be a D, and Spinach says so. Fully vegan places show a V. See what's behind each grade on the place page.
Know what to order
Place pages open with photos, food first, and Directions, Website and Call under the facts. Must-try dishes come next, with how often reviewers mention them and any top-five city rank, then top tips. Red flags point out vegan risks, like cross-contamination or hidden animal ingredients. Good to know covers gluten-free options, outdoor seating, Wi-Fi and more.
New: vegan menus
Selected places now show the vegan dishes on their menu, regular restaurants included. Each dish is marked "vegan" or "can be made vegan", with its price where the menu lists one. For dishes that can be made vegan, ask for the vegan version; where the menu names the change, Spinach shows it. Tap a dish to see why we call it vegan and which source we read. Menus come from menu photos, restaurant websites and PDFs, and many show only part of what a place serves. Dishes and prices change, and menus don't cover allergens. Menus need a connection. Spot a mistake? Report a change from the menu.
Find your kind of place
Filter by vegan grade, food rating, price, place type and opening hours.
Keep a short list
Keep places you want to try in lists like date night or Sunday brunch. Lists stay on your phone; sign in to sync them.
Dark mode and gluten-free
Pick light, dark or your phone's setting in Settings. If you eat gluten-free, turn on the gluten-free mark to see which places have gluten-free options.
Coverage and details vary by place. Check menus, prices and opening hours with the restaurant.

• A gluten-free mark, in Settings.
• Report a mistake on a menu or a dish.
