Companion Letters now handle custom letter ranges more consistently. The focus setting is back in Companion settings, letters use the correct diary window instead of a fixed recent range, and pending companion-decided letters are less likely to get stuck. The letter panel also shows your companion more clearly while a letter is waiting, generating, or ready.

Companion Letters are now more flexible and persistent. You can choose when letters arrive, let your companion decide when a new letter is worth writing, and revisit past letters from the archive. Companion impressions, personal information, and memory can also stay in sync across your devices with iCloud. This update also adds weekday labels to the review calendar, improves Search back gestures, and includes iOS stability improvements.

iCloud sync is now safer when the same diary is open on multiple devices: remote updates received while writing are retried later, and Dawnary asks which version to keep before replacing anything when both this device and iCloud changed the same diary. Home also supports pull-to-sync, and Weekly Letter loading no longer shows duplicate typing animations.

Weekly Letter settings are now clearer and easier to use. The current model now appears as a dedicated card with provider icon, custom models are managed from the same model picker, and clearing a custom model keeps the custom entry so you can reconfigure it later. Weekly Letter generation is also more reliable, with better handling for incomplete AI responses.

Refreshed the bottom navigation with a cleaner full-width bar, clearer labels, and a centered write button. Profile also adds a new Feedback page with WeChat, Xiaohongshu, and email contact shortcuts.

Calendar thumbnails now appear more reliably on the same day after you add photos to a diary. Diary export is also much safer: multiple entries from the same day are preserved correctly, and export now fails clearly instead of producing an incomplete archive when files are missing or save/share handoff does not finish.

Improved consistency across Weekly Letter, diary previews, search, and export so the same entry text is interpreted more reliably throughout the app. Also fixed a preview-text issue where some formatted content could display incorrectly.

After inserting a photo, the caret now lands where you'd expect so you can keep writing right away. Failed splash-image retries now show immediate progress feedback, and iOS image cropping is more stable.

Location and weather permissions are now requested only when you choose to enable them in Settings. Reading layout follows each language more naturally, Preferences has clearer startup and display options, and share preview plus navigation feel smoother overall.

Weekly AI Summary is now Weekly Letter, with warmer delivery, clearer letter-style language, and much stronger voice differences between identities. Personal memory is more reliable and transparent, and dark mode action buttons are easier to read.

You can now create your own diary templates — up to two custom ones. Search includes a new built-in Most-Used Tags section showing your most frequent tags; tap any to search instantly.
